Ասիախաղաղօվկիանոսյան տարածաշրջանի (ԱՍԵԱՆ-ի պետությունների եւ դրանց տարածաշրջանային գործընկերների) երկրների պաշտպանության նախարարների հանդիպումն ավարտվել Է առանց ընդհանուր հայտարարության ընդունման՝ Հարավչինական ծովում Չինաստանի գործողությունների շուրջ ծագած տարաձայնությունների պատճառով, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով BBC-ին:

Հաղորդվում Է, որ Չինաստանի պատվիրակությունը համառորեն հանդես Է եկել ամփոփիչ տեքստում Պեկինի կողմից արհեստական կղզիների կառուցման վերաբերյալ հիշատակումներ մտցնելու դեմ:   

ԱՄՆ-ի ներկայացուցիչներն, իրենց հերթին, պնդել են հակառակը:

ՉԺՀ-ի պաշտպանության նախարարության հայտարարության համաձայն՝ տարածաշրջանից դուրս «որոշ երկրներ» փորձել են հռչակագրում ներառել խորհրդաժողովին չվերաբերող տեղեկատվություն:
