Հայաստանն իրական կորուստներով է հատուցում կոռուպցիայի համար:

Այս մասին  ՀՀ-ում Ամերիկյան առևտրի պալատի առաջ ելույթի ժամանակ ասաց ՀՀ-ում ԱՄՆ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Ռիչարդ Միլսը:

«Երբ բիզնեսի ոլորտում մրցակցությունն արդարացի չէ և չի հիմնվում օբյեկտիվ կոմերցիոն չափանիշների վրա, երբ կան հզոր շահեր, որոնք անհամաչափ տնտեսական և քաղաքական հետևանքների են հանգեցնում, ապա դա սահմանափակում է տնտեսական աճը: Այդ պարագայում տուժում է ողջ տնտեսությունը, տուժում է ողջ երկիրը: Օտարերկրյա բիզնեսը քվեարկում է իր ներդրումների միջոցով. եթե նրանք նկատում են, որ կոռուպցիան կեղեքում է երկիրը, ապա նրանք կամ ընդհանրապես հրաժարվում են ներդրում կատարելուց, կամ կարող են հետ վերցնել իրենց ներդրումները: Հայաստանի քաղաքացիների շրջանում կոռուպցիայի բեռը կրում են առավել խոցելիները, փոքր բիզնեսի սեփականատերերը, ովքեր ջանում են գործ սկսել և պահպանել այն»,- նշեց դեսպանը:

Նկատելով, որ կոռուպցիոն դրսևորումներ լինում են ամենուր, այդ թվում` ԱՄՆ-ում, սակայն ցանկացած երկրի համար առանցքայինը կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարելու քաղաքական կամքն է:

Հայաստանում կոռուպցիայի հաղթահարման համար ԱՄՆ դեսպանատունը աշխատելու հայաստանյան պետական ու հասարակական կառույցի հետ, որտեղ կա կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարի պատրաստակամություն: «Դեսպանության կողմից կլինեն դրամաշնորհներ հակակոռուպցիոն աշխատանքներում ներգրավված ու կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարում ու թափանցիկության մեծացման հարցերում առաջընթաց արձանագրող պետական կառույցների հետ համագործակցող ՀԿ-ներին: Մեր աշխատանքը նաև կներառի աջակցություն Հակակոռուպցիոն խորհրդին: Խորհրդին ցուցաբերվող մեր ֆինանսական աջակցությունը ուղղված է որոշակի գործողությունների, ինչպիսիք են՝ հակակոռուպցիոն ռազմավարության մշակման շարունակվող աշխատանքները և գործողությունների պլանի կազմումը»,- նշեց դեսպանը` հավելելով, որ դեսպանատունը նաև խրախուսում է ՀԿ-ների մասնակցությունը Հակակոռուպցիոն խորհրդի աշխատանքներին:

Նրա խոսքով` ԱՄՆ դեսպանությունը կշարունակի օգնել քաղաքացիական հասարակությանը՝ ոսսւշադրությունը դեպի կոռուպցիան բևեռելու ու կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարելու հարցում:
