 Ազգային անվտանգության ամրապնդման տեսանկյունից սահմանամերձ համայնքների ամրապնդումը Հայաստանի համար գերակա ուղղություն է: Այս մասին Ազգային ժողովում ՀՀ 2016 թ. պետական բյուջեի նախագծի քննարկմանն ասաց ՀՀ ԱԺ պաշտպանության, ազգային անվտանգության, ներքին գործերի մշտական հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Կորյուն Նահապետյանը՝ պատասխանելով ՀԱԿ խմբակցության պատգամավոր Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի դիտարկմանը, թե տարրական դասարաններին սննդով ապահովելու ծրագիրն առաջին հերթին անհրաժեշտ է իրականացնել սահմանամերձ գյուղերում: Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը նկատեց, որ այդ ծրագրում ներառված են գյուղեր, որոնք, ճիշտ է, ունեն սոցիալական խնդիրներ, սակայն սահմանամերձ շատ քիչ գյուղեր են ծրագրում ընդգրկվել:  «Սահմանամերձ համայնքների ամրապնդմանն ուղղված ցանկացած նախաձեռնություն  ինձ համար ողջունելի է: Սակայն այդ նախաձեռնությունները կյանքի կոչելուÖ առաջ պետք է քննարկվեն: Ես կարծում եմ, որ այն առաջարկը կամ կոչը, որը դուք հնչեցնում եք, մենք կարող ենք քննարկել Ազգային ժողովում ազգային անվտանգության ապահովման տեսանկյունից: Ես կրկնում եմ, որ սահմանամերձ համայնքների ամրապնդումը համարում եմ ազգային անվտանգության գերակա ուղղություն»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ նշեց Նահապետյանը:

Պատգամավորի առաջարկին արձագանքեց նաև Ազգային ժողովի նախագահ Գալուստ Սահակյանը: «Պարոն Փաշինյան, ձեր հարցադրումը շատ հստակ էր, և քանի որ սահմանամերձ համայնքներում արդեն իսկ իրականացվում են տարբեր ծրագրեր, կարելի է քննարկել նաև ձեր առաջարկը: Ես կարծում եմ, որ ձեր հարցադրումը կարժանանա խորհրդարանի աջակցությանը»:

Կարյուն Նահապետյանն էլ հավելեց, որ հարկավոր է սահմանամերձ համայնքների ուսումնական հաստատությունների համար բարենպաստ պայմաններ ապահովել: «Եթե դուք 2016 թ. պետական բյուջեի ծրագրում տեսնում եք ոչ ճշգրիտ բաշխում ուսումնական հաստատությունների միջև՝ ի վնաս սահմանամերձ համայնքների, խնդրեմ, եկեք քննարկենք և ուղղենք այդ միջոցները սահմանամերձ համայնքների ուսումնական հաստատություններ»,- եզափակեց Նահապետյանը:
