Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը նոյեմբերի 17-ին ընդունել է Եվրոպայի աթլետիկայի ֆեդերացիայի պատվիրակությանը՝ Ֆեդերացիայի նախագահ, Աթլետիկայի միջազգային ֆեդերացիայի խորհրդի անդամ Սվեյն Առնե Հանսենի գլխավորությամբ:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության եւ տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, հանդիպմանը ներկա են եղել նաև Ֆեդերացիայի գործադիր տնօրեն Քրիստիան Միլցը, ՀՀ սպորտի և երիտասարդության հարցերի նախարար Գաբրիել Ղազարյանը և Հայաստանի աթլետիկայի ֆեդերացիայի նախագահ Ռոբերտ Էմմիյանը:

Ֆեդերացիայի նորանշանակ նախագահը Հայաստան է այցելել ծանոթանալու մեր երկրում աթլետիկա մարզաձևի զարգացման ընթացքին, իրականացվող միջոցառումներին, այդ թվում՝ ընթացիկ տարվա հոկտեմբերի 3-ին առաջին անգամ անցկացված միջազգային կիսամարաթոնի արդյունքներին: Այցը նպատակ ունի նաև ավարտին հասցնելու Հայաստանում միջազգային չափանիշներին համապատասխան սինթետիկ ծածկույթով վազքուղու կառուցման գործընթացը, որը հնարավորություն կստեղծի մեր երկրում կազմակերպել միջազգային մակարդակի խոշոր մրցաշարեր:

Նախագահը ողջունել է հյուրերին և ընդգծել, որ Հայաստանը հատկապես թեթև աթլետիկայում լավ ավանդույթներ ունեցող երկիր է, և այդ սպորտաձևն այսօր էլ զարգացման մեծ ներուժ ունի: Սերժ Սարգսյանը հանդիպման մասնակիցների հետ քննարկել է մեր երկրում աթլետիկայի ներկայիս վիճակը, հեռանկարն ու մարզաձևի զարգացման համար նաև պետական աջակցությամբ անհրաժեշտ պայմանների և խթանների ստեղծման հնարավորությունները:

Սվեյն Առնե Հանսենը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել ՀՀ Նախագահին հյուրընկալության և օլիմպիական կարևորագույն մարզաձևերից մեկի՝ աթլետիկայի նկատմամբ նման հոգատար վերաբերմունքի համար` նշելով, որ Հայաստանում սինթետիկ ծածկույթով վազքուղու կառուցման նախապատրաստական բոլոր աշխատանքներն ավարտված են, և Եվրոպայի աթլետիկայի ֆեդերացիան պատրաստ է անհատույց միջոցներ հատկացնել այդ նպատակին՝ ակնկալելով նաև Հայաստանի կառավարության աջակցությունը:

Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը վստահեցրել է, որ Հայաստանը պատրաստակամ է սատարել ծրագրի իրագործմանը, և ոլորտի պատասխանատուներն ըստ պատշաճի աշխատանք կտանեն նախատեսված ժամկետում անհրաժեշտ գործընթացներն ավարտին հասցնելու համար:
