Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգները կշարունակի մարդասիրական աջակցություն տրամադրել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղին: 

Այս մասին լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը հայտնեց ԱՄՆ արտաքին օգնության համակարգող Ալինա Ռոմաբովսկին, ով վերահսկում է Միացյալ Նահանգների կառավարության աջակցությունն ուղղված Եվրոպայի և Եվրասիայի 30 երկրներին:

«Այս տարիների ընթացքում Լեռնային Ղարաբաղին ԱՄՆ ցուցաբերած աջակցությունը հիմնականում ուղղված է եղել ջրային ենթակառուցվածքների բարելավմանը և ականազերծման իրականացմանը այդ շրջանում: Մենք շարունակելու են մեր օժանդակությունն այդ նպատակների իրականացմանը` ապահելով տեղի բնակչության անվտանգությունը»,- վստահեցրեց Ռոմաբովսկին:

Միացյալ Նահանգները Ղարաբաղին օգնություն սկսել է տրամադրել 1998 թվականից, որն առ այսօր կազմել է շուրջ 61 միլիոն դոլար: ԱՄՆ հայկական կազմակերպությունները հորդորել են այդ երկրի Կոնգրեսին և կառավարությանը՝ այս տարի Ղարաբաղին հատկացնել 5 միլիոն դոլար, ևս 40 միլիոն դոլար տրամադրել Հայաստանին:
