Երկու քույրեր իրենց ամբողջ կյանքում ցանկանում էին հանդիպել իրենց եղբորը, ում մասին նրանք համարյա ոչինչ չգիտեին: 60 տարիների որոնումները ոչ մի արդյունք չէին տվել, բայց վերջապես հանդիպումը կայացավ՝ շնորհիվ երջանիկ պատահականության:

Նրանց մայրը որպես բուժքույր էր աշխատում Պուերտո-Ռիկոյում: Երիտասարդ տարիքում նա հղիացել է և լույս աշխարհ է բերել Բերնարդո անունով որդուն, բայց հայրը հրաժարվել է երեխայից, իսկ աղջիկը երեխային մենակ մեծացնելու միջոցներ չի ունեցել: Այդ պատճառով նա որոշել է տղային մանկատուն հանձնել: Քանի որ երեխան լիովին առողջ էր, նրան անմիջապես մի ընտանիք էր որդեգրել: Այդ պահից Բերնարդոյի հետ կապը կորում է…

Մի քանի տարի անց կնոջ վիճակը լավացավ, նա ամուսնացավ և գաղթեց Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգներ: Այնտեղ նա երկու աղջիկ ունեցավ. Ալիսան և Սենդին: Նրանք իմացել էին իրենց մորից, որ մեծ եղբայր ունեն, և միշտ ցանկանում էին հանդիպել նրա հետ, բայց որոնումներն անարդյունք էին:

Անցել էր արդեն 60 տարի, և թվում էր որ քույրերին չի հաջողվի գտնել իրենց եղբորը… Հանկարծ նրանց երջանիկ պատահականությունն օգնեց: Կանայք մեկնեցին ճանապարհորդության, որտեղ շփվում էին այլ հանգստացողների հետ: Քույրերից մեկը՝ Ալիսա Մորենոն, խոսակցության մեջ նշեց իր մոր ազգանունը՝ Պույոլս: Եվ նրա զրուցակիցը հիշեց, որ Պուերտո-Ռիկոյում աշխատել է նման ազգանունով մարդու հետ: «Նրա անունը Բերնարդո Պույոլս է: Ի դեպ արտաքնապես նա շատ նման է Ձեզ»,- ասաց կինը քույրերին:

Ալիսան և Սենդին անմիջապես գլխի ընկան, որ իրենց նոր ծանոթն աշխատում է իրենց եղբոր հետ:

Կանխազգացումը նրանց չէր խաբել: Կապ հաստատելով Բերնարդոյի հետ, նրանք պարզեցին, որ նա իրոք իրենց եղբայրն է: Քույրերը պայմանավորվեցին հանդիպել նրա հետ Սան-Խուանում, և առաջին թռիչքով մեկնեցին Պուերտո-Ռիկո: Առաջին անգամ բաժանված ընտանիքը վերամիավորվեց: Շատ հուզիչ հանդիպում էր…

Ճակատագրի ճանապարհներն անկանխատեսելի են: Նույնիսկ եթե հրաշքի հույս այլևս չկա, երջանիկ պատահականությունը կարող է ամեն ինչ իր տեղը դնել:
