 Թուրքիան, հարաբերությունները կտրուկ վատացնելով Ռուսաստանի հետ, հայտնվելով քաղաքական մեկուսացման մեջ, սկսել է  եղբայրական Ադրբեջանին սիրաշահման քաղաքականությունը` դա անելով ի հաշիվ Հայաստանի: Թուրքիայի վարչապետ Ահմեդ Դավութօղլուն է, ով պաշտոնական այցով մեկնել է Ադրբեջան, իր հավատարմությունն է հայտնել «փոքր եղբորը» Հայաստանի դեմ հնչեցրած հայտարարություններով: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ վկայակոչելով թուրքական «Հուրիեթ» պարբերականը, Ադրբեջանի դիվանագիտական ակադեմիայում ունեցած ելույթի ժամանակ Թուրքիայի վարչապետը հին երգն է կրկնել` հայերին կոչ անելով «ազատել» Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը:

«Եթե դուք սկսեք խաղաղության գործընթացը՝ վերադարձնելով ձեզ չպատկանող հողերը նրանց, ում դրանք պատկանում են, դուք էլ կկարողանաք մասնակցել Թուրքիայի, Վրաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև ձևավորված խաղաղության դաշինքին»,- Հայաստանին պայմաններ է թելադրել Դավութօղլուն՝ հավելելով, որ իրենք շարունակելու են լինել Ադրբեջանի կողքին:

Ադրբեջանի մայրաքաղաքում ունեցած ելույթը հերթական անգամ ի ցույց է դնում Թուրքիայի՝ Հայաստանի դեմ ունեցած կանխակալ վերաբերմունքը: Եթե «փոքր եղբայրը»՝ Ադրբեջանն ամեն անգամ չի խորշում Հայաստանի մասին բացահայտ խոսել ռազմական հռետորաբանությամբ անգամ ագրեսիվ վարքով, ապա պաշտոնական Անկարան մշտապես գործի է դնում դիվանագիտական լծակները: Ի ցույց աշխարհի մշտապես բարձրաձայնելով Հայաստանի հետ հարաբերությունները կարգավորելու պատրաստակամության մասին՝ Թուրքիայի պաշտոնատար անձինք իրենց գործողություններով և հայտարարություններով ցույց են տալիս, որ ցանկանում են Հայաստանին դուրս հանել տարածաշրջանային գործընթացներից և պահել մեկուսացման մեջ՝ հետագայում հայկական կողմից հնարավոր զիջումներ ստանալու ակնկալիքով:

Այդուհանդերձ, ակնհայտ է նաև մեկ այլ բան, որ Ադրբեջանում կամ ադրբեջանցի պաշտոնյաների ներկայությամբ հնչեցված և պաշտոնական Բաքվին սիրաշահող հակահայկական հայտարարությունների տակ թաքնված են ոչ միայն և ոչ այնքան եղբայրական ժողովրդի կողքին կանգնած լինելու ցանկությունը, այլև Ադրբեջանից հարմար գումարով նավթ և բնական գազ ստանալու տնտեսական շահը: Ադրբեջանի հարցում «Երկու պետություն, մեկ ազգ» կոնցեպտով առաջնորդվող Թուրքիան իրականում շարունակում է միջազգային հարթակներում խաղալ միայն սեփական շահի համար՝ մի կողմ թողնելով եղբայրական ու բարեկամական զգացումները, ինչի վառ ապացույցը վերջին տարիներին պաշտոնական Անկարայի կողմից բարիդրացիականից խիստ լարվածի վերափոխված հարաբերություններն են Եգիպտոսի, Սիրիայի կամ Ռուսաստանի հետ:
