«Հայաստանում արդար ընտրություններ» արտահայտությունը նույն զգացողությունն է առաջացնում, ինչ, օրինակ՝ «կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքար» ասվածը: Խնդիրն այն է, որ իրականում պայքար է գնում ոչ թե մեկ քայլ առաջ գնալու, այլ ամեն գնով եղածը սևացնելու համար:

Այսօրվա ընդդիմությունը, որը երեկվա իշխանությունն է իրականում, ոչ թե պայքարում է երկրում ինչ-որ բան փոխելու համար, այլ իշխանություն եղած ժամանակների «բացթողումները» լրացնելու և կորցրածը հետ բերելու համար: Իշխանական կերակրատաշտին մոտիկից ծանոթ նախկին պաշտոնյաները լավ գիտեն իշխանություն ասվածի տրամաչափերն ու «հնարավորությունները», այնպես որ նրանց անձնվիրաբար պայքարն այս դեպքում կարող է ինչ-որ տեղ հասկանալի լինել:

Հանուն անկեղծության արձանագրենք նաև, որ երբ իշխանական լծակները ներկայիս ընդդիմադիրների ձեռքում էին, Ազատության հրապարակում այդ օրերի իշխանությունների հասցեին նույնիսկ ամենազուսպ արտահայտությունն արդեն իսկ կարող էր վտանգավոր լինել ոչ միայն սեփական առողջության, այլև բոլոր նրանց համար, ովքեր հանդգնում էին «բարևել» ըմբոստներին:

Էլ չենք ասում, թե երկրի ղեկավարների արտաքինով փափուկ խաղալիքներ այրելն ինչքան ծանր հետևանքեր կարող էր առաջացնել ոչ միայն կատարողի, այլև նրա ընտանիքի անդամների, հարևանների և բարեկամների համար: Համեմատության համար նշենք նաև, որ ներկայիս ընդդիմադիրների իշխանություն եղած ժամանակ էլ մոտեցումները նույնն էին՝ կային ընտրակեղծարարներ, թվեր նկարողներ, դրանք հրապարակողներ, այլ տարբեր ձևի ու որակի նազիր-վեզիրներ, ինչու չէ նաև պալատական համարվող, իրենց կողմից ընդունելի ու սիրված լրատվամիջոցներ, լրագրողներ:

Այնպես որ, առանձնապես ոչինչ չի փոխվել, միայն նոր տեխնոլոգիաներն են զարգացել, որից օգտվելն ավելի հետաքրքիր է դարձրել մեր առօրյան, իսկ եթե 20 տարի առաջ էլ օնլայն կապի նման լայն հնարավորություններ լինեին, այսօրվա ընդդիմադիրներն էլ հավանաբար ուրիշ որակ կունենային, որը գոնե մի կաթիլ հույս կներշնչեր, որ մեր երկրում իսկապես հնարավոր է իրավիճակ փոխել, բայց առայժմ ինքներս մեզ խաբելով ու հույսներս սուտի ընդդիմության վրա դնելով` ոչ միայն ոչինչի չեք հասնի, այլ ավելի վատ կգահավիժենք:

Մնում է սպասել այլընտարնքին, որի ծիլերն առայժմ կարծես թե իրենց զգացնել չեն տալիս:
