«Ժամանակ» թերթը գրում է. «Ես չեմ կարծում, որ Հայաստանին որեւէ մեկն այնքան գրանտներ է տալիս, եւ դա այն արժեւորումն է, որ Հայաստանում շատ մեծ օգուտներ է տալիս, եթե չտան, շատ մեծ վնասներ կլինի: Այդ գրանտները տրվելու են, դրանք ոչ թե տալիս են մեկ ուղղվածության օգնության, դրանց մեջ նաեւ քաղաքական ընդերք կա, իսկ քաղաքական ընդերքը երբեք չի պակասում»,- հայտարարել է ԱԺ նախագահ Գալուստ Սահակյանը՝ անդրադառնալով ընտրախախտումների վերաբերյալ ԱՄՆ դեսպանության հայտարարությանը եւ դրանում առկա ակնարկ-ենթատեքստին, որ դեսպանատունը կարող է ընտրախախտումներում մասնակցություն ունեցող անձանց զրկել ԱՄՆ ծրագրերի հետ առնչություն ունենալու հնարավորությունից:

ԱԺ նախագահ Գալուստ Սահակյանի մոտ, փաստորեն, առկա են հեղափոխական փոփոխություններ կամ հակահեղափոխական, ավելի ճիշտ նրա մոտ կարծես թե տեղի է ունեցել իսլամական հակահեղափոխություն: Բանն այն է, որ օրինակ՝ մոտ մեկ տասնամյակ առաջ Գալուստ Սահակյանը համանման վիճակում ասում էր, որ եթե Եվրոպան չընդունի Հայաստանին այնպես, ինչպես կա, ապա իրենք կգնան մահմեդական կամ իսլամական աշխարհ: Այժմ, փաստորեն, Գալուստ Սահակյանը չի գնում որեւէ այլ աշխարհ: Նա հայտարարում է, որ Արեւմուտքը գնալու տեղ չունի, քանի որ «քաղաքական ընդերք» կա: Այլ կերպ ասած՝ Գալուստ Սահակյանը հայտարարում է, թե ուզեն, չուզեն, պետք է մնան ու աշխատեն, ինչպես էլ որ գնահատեն քվեարկությունները:

Մյուս կողմից՝ առավել նեղ շրջանակում Հայաստանի իշխանությունը պարուրվում է ապահովության զգացումով, որը կեղծ զգացում է, որովհետեւ այն, ինչ կորցնելու է այդ իշխանությունը՝ չի լինելու Արեւմուտքի հետ ուղիղ դիմակայության հետեւանքով, դա լինելու է Եվրատալանտյան բեւեռի եւ Ռուսաստանի դիմակայության հետեւանքով: Ու անկասկած ընդմիշտ չի լինելու այնպես, որ այդ դիմակայության հետեւանքով կորցնի լոկ Հայաստանը, հանրությունը, ասենք տնտեսական բարդությունների տեսքով, իսկ իշխանությունը շարունակի վայելել իր կյանքն ու զվարթ ապրել այն մտայնությամբ, որ միեւնույն է՝ Արեւմուտքը փախչելու տեղ չունի եւ պետք է հարաբերվի ստիպված:
Խաբկանքն այդտեղ է, պատրանքը, թե Արեւմուտքը կամ Ռուսաստանը հարաբերվում են իրենց հետ, այսինքն՝ Հայաստանի իշխանության հետ: Արեւմուտքն ու Ռուսաստանը արդեն վաղուց հարաբերվում են Հայաստանի իշխանության վրայով, ոչ թե հարաբերվում են Հայաստանի իշխանության հետ կամ մրցակցում են Հայաստանի համար:

Իշխանության համար դա կլիներ չափից դուրս ճոխություն ու պատիվ՝ ուղիղ իրական հարաբերությունը: Ձեռքսեղմումներն ու պաշտոնական արարողակարգերը հարաբերություններ չեն: Անգամ ռուսական իսթեբլիշմենթը այլեւս վաղուց հրաժարվել է Հայաստանի իշխանության հետ ուղիղ հարաբերությունից: Եվ այդ աշխարհաքաղաքական անպետքությունն անվտանգության հետ շփոթելը կարող է շատ թանկ արժենալ հայկական «էլիտայի» համար»:
