 Չինաստանը պատժամիջոցներ կսահմանի ամերիկյան այն ընկերությունների դեմ, որոնք մասնակցում են Թայվանին զենքի մատակարարումներին: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, ասված Է ՉԺՀ-ի ԱԳ նախարարության՝ դեկտեմբերի 17-ին հրապարակված հաղորդագրության մեջ:

«Չինաստանն իր շահերը պաշտպանելու համար վճռական միջոցներ կձեռնարկի, որոնք պատժամիջոցներ կներառեն ամերիկյան այն ընկերությունների դեմ, որոնք մասնակցում են Թայվանին զենքի մատակարարմանը»,-նշվում Է փաստաթղթում:

ՉԺՀ-ի արտաքին գործերի փոխնախարար Չժեն Ցզեգուանը նաեւ կանչել Է Չինաստանում ԱՄՆ-ի գործերի ժամանակավոր հավատարմատարին եւ վճռական բողոք հայտնել նրան Թայվանին զենքի մատակարարմանը հավանություն տալու Պետդեպարտամենտի որոշման կապակցությամբ:

1,83 մլրդ դոլար ընդհանուր գումարով Թայվանին ամերիկյան զենքի մատակարարման որոշումը դեկտեմբերի 16-ին հավանության Է արժանացել ԱՄՆ-ի Պետդեպարտամենտի կողմից: Զենքի եւ ռազմական տեխնիկայի թվում, որոնք կարող են վաճառվել Թայվանին, տեղ են գտել, մասնավորապես, Oliver Hazard Perry դասի երկու հրթիռային ֆրեգատ, TOW 2B հակատանկային կառավարվող հրթիռներ, Javelin հակատանկային հրթիռային համալիրներ, դեսանտային մարտական մեքենաներ, ինչպես նաեւ Stinger շարժական զենիթահրթիռային համալիրներ:

Թայվանը սեփական վարչակազմի կողմից կառավարվում Է 1949 թվականից, երբ Չան Կայշիի գլխավորությամբ այնտեղ փախան Գոմինդանի ուժերի մնացորդները, որը պարտություն Էր կրել չին կոմունիստների դեմ քաղաքացիական պատերազմում, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
