 ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը հայտարարել Է, որ Ռուսաստանը երբեք չի համաձայնի, որ դրսից ղեկավարներ պարտադրվեն Սիրիային:«Մենք գտնում ենք, որ միայն Սիրիայի ժողովուրդը պետք Է որոշի, թե ով Է իրեն կառավարելու եւ ինչ ստանդարտներով ու կանոններով»,-ասել Է նա, հավելելով, որ այդ թեմայի շուրջ օրերս խոսել Է ԱՄՆ-ի պետքարտուղար Ջոն Քերիի հետ:

Պուտինը նշել Է, որ պաշտպանում Է Սիրիայի վերաբերյալ ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդի բանաձեւի պատրաստման ԱՄՆ-ի նախաձեռնությունը, այն ընդհանուր առմամբ բավարարում Է Մոսկվային: «Կարծում եմ, որ բանաձեւի նախագծին ծանոթանալուց հետո այն կբավարարի նաեւ Սիրիայի իշխանություններին»,-ասել Է Պուտինը:

«Թեեւ ինչ-որ բան կարող Է եւ դուր չգալ,-խոստովանել Է նա:-Որովհետեւ երկար տարիներ տեւող հակամարտությունը լուծելու փորձերում միշտ Էլ հնարավոր Է փոխզիջում, բայց զիջումներ պետք Է արվեն երկուստեք»:

«Մենք ամեն կերպ նպաստելու ենք այդ ճգնաժամի լուծմանը եւ ձգտելու ենք այն բանին, որ լուծումները, որոնք կարող են գտնվել, բավարարեն բոլոր կողմերին»,-հավաստիացրել Է ՌԴ նախագահը:

Պուտինի խոսքով՝ Սիրիայի խնդիրը կարգավորելու այլ եղանակ չկա, բացի քաղաքականից, այդ առումով Ռուսաստանի պլանը գրեթե համընկնում Է ամերիկյանի հետ:

«Այդ իրադրության կարգավորման այլ եղանակ գոյություն չունի: Դա հարկ կլինի անել վաղ թե ուշ»,-ասել Է նա:

Պուտինը հայտարարել Է, որ Ռուսաստանը կշարունակի օդային գործողությունները Սիրիայում եւ կաջակցի սիրիական բանակի հարձակմանը, նաեւ շփումներ կփնտրի ԻՊ-ի դեմ կռվող սիրիական ընդդիմության հետ:
