Փախստականների ընդհանուր թիվն աշխարհում 2015 թվականին կարող Է գերազանցել 60 միլիոնը: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, ասված Է ՄԱԿ-ի փախստականների գործերի գերագույն կոմիսարի վարչության (ՓԳԳԿՎ) զեկույցում, որը հրապարակվել Է դեկտեմբերի 18-ին: ՄԱԿ-ի ՓԳԳԿՎ-ի զեկույցն ընդգրկում Է 2015 թվականի հունվարից մինչեւ հունիս ընկած ժամանակաշրջանը եւ նշում Է ապագայում փախստականների հետ կապված իրադրության զարգացման ուղղությունը:

ՄԱԿ-ի ՓԳԳԿՎ-ի տվյալների համաձայն՝ այս տարվա առաջին կիսամյակում ամբողջ աշխարհում փախստականների թիվը 1992 թվականից ի վեր առաջին անգամ գերազանցել Է 20 միլիոնի նշագիծը եւ կազմել Է 20,2 միլիոն: Դրա հետ մեկտեղ ապաստան Է խնդրել ընդամենը 993 հազար 600 մարդ, իսկ ներքին վերաբնակների թվաքանակը կազմել Է շուրջ 34 միլիոն:

«Ուշադրության առնելով այն, որ փաստաթուղթն ընդգրկում Է միայն ներքին վերաբնակված անձանց, որոնք գտնվում են ՓԳԳԿՎ-ի պաշտպանության ներքո, 2015 թվականին առաջին անգամ բռնի տեղահանություններն ամբողջ աշխարհում կարող են գերազանցել 60 միլիոնը. այսօր աշխարհում 122 մարդուց մեկը հարկադրված Է եղել լքել իր տունը»,-նշվում Է փաստաթղթում:

Հիմնական պատճառները, որոնք ազդում են աշխարհում փախստականների թվաքանակի աճի վրա, հակամարտություններն են, մասնավորապես, Սիրիայում շարունակվող ռազմական գործողությունները, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
