Պատերազմի ժամանակ, պատերազմական կամ կիսապատերազմական վիճակում, ցավոք, մարդկային կորուստները միշտ անխուսափելի են: Հայաստանը ներկա պահին փաստացի կիսապատերազմական վիճակում է, սահմանից այն կողմ ունենք բառիս բուն իմաստով թշնամի, որի հետ թշնամությունը զուտ քաղաքական ֆոնի վրա չէ, այլ վաղուց արդեն վերածված է ազգային ատելության: Դրա հետևանքները տեսնում ենք արդեն գրեթե ամեն օր՝ հրադադարի խախտումներ թշնամու կողմից, դիվերսիոն ներթափանցման փորձեր, զոհեր ու վիրավորներ՝ ցավոք, նաև մեր կողմից:

Մեր թշնամու նենգությունը մեզ արդեն հայտնի է, և իրեն բնորոշ նենգությամբ ադրբեջանական կողմը գրեթե ամեն գիշեր խախտում է հրադադարի ռեժիմը: Արդյունքները շատ ցավալի են լինում նաև մեզ համար, սակայն դա չի կարող որևէ կապ ունենալ Հայաստանի ներքաղաքական խնդիրների հետ, իսկ այսօր իրենց ադեկվատությունն ամբողջովին կորցրած և առողջ դատողության ծարավ մի շարք մարդիկ, այդ թվում՝ հասարակական գործիչներ, յուրաքանչյուր զոհի համար փորձում են մեղավորներ փնտրել սահմանից այս կողմ: Նրանք այնքան են տարվել ներքաղաքական ավանտյուրաներով կամ էլ դրսից ֆինանսավորվող և մեր բանակի դեմ ուղղված իրենց գործունեությամբ, որ նույնիսկ սահմանին թշնամու գնդակից զոհված հայ զինվորների մահվան մեջ մեղադրում են ոչ թե կրակող թշնամուն, այլ մեր «հանցավոր իշխանություններին», իսկ որ ավելի սարսափելի է, երբեմն էլ Հայոց բանակին:

Նման իրավիճակում իրենց ներքաղաքական կրքերին հագուրդ տալու համար մեր զինվորների մահը օգտագործելը համարում եմ առնվազն սրիկայություն: Վերջապես պետք է հասկանալ մի պարզ ճշմարտություն՝ իշխանությունը կամ ընդդիմությունը, որքան էլ լավը կամ վատը լինեն, թշնամու որակը դրանից չի փոխվում, թշնամին մնում է թշնամի: Իսկ մեր թշնամին թուրք- ազերին է, որը հայտնի է իր նենգությամբ, ստորությամբ, և անկախ նրանից, թե ովքեր են Հայաստանի իշխանության ղեկին՝ այդ թշնամին կարող է կրակել մեր զինվորների վրա:

Ոչ ոք ոչ ոքի չի ասում, թե մի´ շարունակեք ձեր ներքաղաքական «պայքարը», բայց մի´ խառնեք այն սահմանում տիրող իրավիճակի հետ, մի´ կորցրեք այդ աստիճան բանականությունը: Էլ չեմ խոսում նման իրավիճակում մեր բանակը փնովելու մասին: Նման երևույթին պարզապես անուն էլ չեմ գտնում տալու, որովհետև այս օրերին բանակ փնովողները դրանով իրենց պարզապես հավասարեցնում են սահմանից այն կողմ կանգնած սրիկաների հետ:
