Տամմի Գոնսալեսն անհամբեր սպասում էր իր փոքրիկի ծննդյանը: Բայց երբ նա գտնվում էր հղիության 17-րդ շաբաթում, բժիշկները նրան տհաճ լուր հայտնեցին: Նրանց շատ էր անհանգստացրել ուլտրաձայնային հետազոտության արդյունքները: Նկարում թվում էր, թե երեխան փուչիկ է փչում:

Չնայած առաջին հայացքից այդպիսի տեսարանը կարող է զվարճալի թվալ, բայց իրականում դա կարող էր մեծ խնդիրների պատճառ լինել: Աղջկա մոտ մեծ չափերի տերատոմա էր զարգացել. Բարորակ ուռուցքի տեսակ:

Անհրաժեշտ էր անմիջապես հեռացնել ուռուցքը, քանի դեռ այն վտանգավոր չափսերի չէր հասել: Բայց դրա համար անհրաժեշտ էր վտանգավոր ներարգանդային վիրահատություն կատարել: Կար իրական վտանգ, քանի որ նախկինում բժիշկները երբեք այդպիսի վիրահատություն չեին արել: Այնուամենայնիվ Տամմին համաձայնեց ռիսկի դիմել: Երեխայի առողջությունն առաջին տեղում էր նրա համար:

Բժիշկները երկու շաբաթ պատրաստվեցին վիրահատությանը: Ուռուցքի հեռացումը բարեհաջող անցավ: Փոքրիկի կյանքը փրկվեց, և հետագայում հղիությունն առանց բարդությունների ընթացավ: Մայրիկի ուրախությանը չափ ու սահման չկար:

Հինգ ամիս անց լույս աշխարհ եկավ փոքրիկ Լեոնան, և նա բացարձակ առողջ էր: Այժմ աղջիկը մեծացել է, և նախկին վտանգի մասին այժմ հիշեցնում է միայն վերին շրթունքի վրայի փոքրիկ սպին:

Շնորհակալություն բժիշկներին, ովքեր չվախեցան իրենց վրա վերցնել մեծ պատասխանատվություն, և արեցին այս բարդ վիրահատությունը: Նրանց հմտության շնորհիվ փրկվեց փոքրիկի կյանքը և մոր առողջությունը:
