ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահ, Հայաստան-Էստոնիա պատգամավորական բարեկամության խմբի ղեկավար Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը հունվարի 11-ին Տալլինում հանդիպում է ունեցել Էստոնիայի Հանրապետության Ռիիգիկոգուի առաջին փոխնախագահ Հելիր-Վալդոր Սիդերի հետ:  Հանդիպմանը երկուստեք կարեւորվել է երկու երկրների խորհրդարանների միջեւ համագործակցության զարգացումը:

Էդուարդ Շարմազանովն իր երախտագիտությունն է հայտնել էստոնական կողմին Տալլինում Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցին նվիրված ցուցահանդեսի անցկացման հարցում ցուցաբերած աջակցության համար: ԱԺ փոխնախագահը նշել է, որ անցյալ տարի Տալլինի Սուրբ Յանի եկեղեցում Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցին նվիրված «Քեզ հետ, Հայաստան» համերգին իր հրավերով ներկա են եղել նաեւ Էստոնիայի խորհրդարանի նախկին փոխնախագահ Լայնե Ռանդյարվը եւ բնապահպանության նախկին նախարար Մատի Ռայդման:

Անդրադառնալով Հայաստան-Եվրամիություն համագործակցությանը՝ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը նշել է, որ Հայաստանը կարեւորում է ԵՄ-ի հետ քաղաքական երկխոսության շարունակականությունը: Զրուցակիցներն անդրադարձել են Հարավային Կովկասում տիրող աշխարհաքաղաքական իրավիճակին: ԱԺ փոխնախագահը, անդրադառնալով ԼՂ հակամարտությանը, ընդգծել է, որ ՀՀ-ն եւ ԼՂՀ-ն հիմնախնդրի բացառապես խաղաղ կարգավորման կողմնակից են` երեք հայտնի սկզբունքների հիման վրա: Նա նշել է, որ խնդրի ռազմական լուծման ցանկացած փորձ դատապարտելի է եւ անթույլատրելի:

Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը Հելիր-Վալդոր Սիդերին հրավիրել է 2016 թվականին պաշտոնական այց կատարել Հայաստան:
