 Լիբիայի Զինված ուժերի գլխավոր հրամանատարության լրատվական ծառայությունը հերքել է այն տեղեկատվությունը, ըստ որի, այլ երկրների զինվորականները տեղակայվել են լիբիական տարածքում:  Այս մասին հաղորդում է Արմենպրեսը` հղում կատարելով «Ռիա-Նովոստի»-ին: «Աշ-Շարք ալ-Աուսաթ» արաբական թերթը տեղեկություն էր տարածել այն մասին, որ տասնյակ զինվորականներ ԱՄՆ-ից, Մեծ Բրիտանիայից, Ռուսաստանից ժամանել են Լիբիա: Աղբյուրի համաձայն` Լիբիա եկած երեք երկրների զինվորականների նպատակը հետախուզությունն է: Լիբիայի պաշտոնական աղբյուրները հերքում են այս տեղեկատվությունը` նշելով, որ Լիբիայի սահմանները պաշտպանված են զինյալներից:

Զինված բախումների հետևանքով 2011 թվականին Լիբիայի նախագահի սպանությունից հետո երկիրը ապրում է սուր ճգնաժամի ժամանակաշրջան: Երկրում ի հայտ է եկել երկիշխանություն: Մի կողմից իշխանությունն է` ձևավորված խորհրդարանական ընտրություններով, մյուս կողմից`պրոիսլամական Համընդհանուր ազգային կոնգրեսը: Դրանից բացի, երկրի մի շարք շրջաններ, ընդհանրապես չեն վերահսկվում Լիբիայի կենտրոնական ուժերի կողմից:
