ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը փետրվարի 8-ին ընդունել է Եվրոպական խորհրդարանի Եվրոպական պահպանողականների և ռեֆորմիստների խմբի նախագահ Յան Զահրադիլին:

Հանդիպմանը քննարկվել են Հայաստան-Եվրոպական միություն համագործակցությանը, այդ թվում՝ ԵՄ խորհրդարանական փոխգործակցությանը, ԵՄ աջակցությամբ ՀՀ-ում իրականացվող բարեփոխումներին, ինչպես նաև փոխադարձ հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող մի շարք հարցեր:

Հանրապետության Նախագահն ընդգծել է, որ Հայաստանը պատրաստակամ է առաջ մղելու Եվրոպական միության հետ փոխգործակցությունը բարեփոխումների խթանման, շարժունակության, արդյունավետ կառավարման, ժողովրդավարության, մարդու իրավունքների, բազմոլորտ տնտեսական համագործակցության և երկուստեք հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող այլ բնագավառներում: Նախագահի համոզմամբ, այս գործընթացում կարևոր դեր ունի նաև Եվրոպական խորհրդարանի գործընկերների հետ համագործակցությունը:

Սերժ Սարգսյանը նշել է, որ Հայաստան-Եվրամիություն ակտիվ փոխգործակցությունը, այդ թվում բարձրաստիճան փոխայցելությունները, լավագույնս վկայում են ՀՀ-ԵՄ հարաբերությունների շարունակական զարգացման մասին: Անդրադառնալով տարեվերջին Բրյուսելում տրված ՀՀ-ԵՄ նոր համապարփակ իրավական փաստաթղթի շուրջ բանակցությունների մեկնարկին՝ Նախագահ Սարգսյանն ընդգծել է՝ Հայաստանն ակնկալում է, որ բանակցությունները կընթանան բնականոն հունով, և կողմերը հաջողությամբ ավարտին կհասցնեն այդ կարևոր գործընթացը:

Հյուրի խնդրանքով Հանրապետության Նախագահն անդրադարձել է Հայաստանի ներքին և արտաքին քաղաքականությանը, իր տեսակետները ներկայացրել միջազգային արդի խնդիրների և տարածաշրջանային մարտահրավերների վերաբերյալ, տեղեկացրել ԼՂ հիմնախնդրի խաղաղ կարգավորման բանակցային գործընթացի վերջին զարգացումների վերաբերյալ:

Եվրոպական խորհրդարանի Եվրոպական պահպանողականների և ռեֆորմիստների խմբի նախագահ Յան Զահրադիլը ներկայացրել է իր կուսակցության անցած ուղին, ներկա առաջնահերթությունները, Եվրոպայում առաջատար այդ քաղաքական ուժի գործունեությունը և ընդգծել, որ կուսակցությունը շահագրգռված է Հայաստանի հետ զարգացնելու համագործակցությունը ինչպես միջկուսակցական, այնպես էլ Հայաստան-Եվրամիություն ձևաչափերով:
