Հայաստանի արտգործնախարար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը փետրվարի 9-ին ընդունել է Ճապոնիայի ԱԳՆ Կովկասի հարցերով հատուկ բանագնաց, դեսպան Թոշիհիրո Այկիին: 

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից, ողջունելով հյուրին` նախարար Նալբանդյանը կարևորեց Ճապոնիայի և Հայաստանի միջև բարեկամական հարաբերությունների հետագա խորացումը և տարբեր ոլորտներում բազմաբովանդակ փոխգործակցության ընդլայնումը։

Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ընդունելության համար՝ Ճապոնիայի ԱԳՆ հատուկ բանագնացն ընդգծել է, որ իր երկիրը կարևորում է բարեկամ Հայաստանի հետ համագործակցության խթանումը, ինչին նպաստում են բարձրաստիճան շփումներն ու փոխայցելությունները։

Հանդիպմանն անդրադարձ է արվեց ՀՀ Նախագահի՝ Ճապոնիա կատարած այցի ընթացքում ձեռք բերված պայմանավորվածությունների կատարման ընթացքին, ԱԳՆ-ների միջև պարբերական խորհրդակցությունների անցկացման, խորհրդարաններում գործող բարեկամության խմբերի միջև փոխգործակցության, միջազգային կազմակերպություններում համագործակցության սերտացման, առևտրատնտեսական կապերի ընդլայնման, մշակութային փոխանակումներին առնչվող հարցերին։

Նախարար Նալբանդյանը բարձր է գնահատել Ճապոնիայի կողմից Հայաստանի զարգացմանն ուղղված աջակցությունը։

Զրուցակիցները մտքեր են փոխանակել տարածաշրջանային և միջազգային մի շարք հրատապ խնդիրների շուրջ։ Դեսպան Այկին ներկայացրել է Կորեական թերակղզում անվտանգության և կայունության ամրապնդման ուղղությամբ գործադրվող ջանքերը։ Մտահոգություն է հայտնվել Հյուսիսային Կորեայի կողմից՝ ի խախտումն ՄԱԿ Անվտանգության խորհրդի բանաձևերի, բալիստիկ հրթիռի արձակման կապակցությամբ։

Նախարար Նալբանդյանը անդրադարձ է կատարել ղարաբաղյան հիմնախնդրին` ներկայացնելով հակամարտության գոտում տիրող իրավիճակը, բանակցային գործընթացի վերջին զարգացումները, ինչպես նաև՝ ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների և Հայաստանի ջանքերն՝ ուղղված հիմնահարցի բացառապես խաղաղ կարգավորմանը:
