 Բաքվի Յասամալի շրջանի դատարանը չի թույլատրել Լեյլա եւ Արիֆ Յունուսներին բուժման համար մեկնել արտասահման: Այս մասին, ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, «Թուրան»-ին հայտնել է նրանց փաստաբան Էլչին Սադըգովը: Նրա խոսքով` Լեյլա Յունուսը հիվանդ է քրոնիկ հեպատիտով, երակների լայնացումով եւ շաքարային դիաբետով: Դրանց զուգահեռ, լեղապարկում քար կա, որը տանջալից ցավեր է առաջացնում եւ անհետաձգելի վիրաբուժական միջամտություն է պահանջում:

Արիֆ Յունուսը կյանքին սպառնացող արյան ճնշում եւ ուժեղ ցավեր ունի վզի մասում: Փորձագետների կարծիքով` Յունուսների բուժումը հնարավոր է միայն արտասահմանում:

Փաստաբանը դատարանի վճիռը անօրինական է համարում` նշելով, որ կդիմի վճռաբեկ դատարան: Լեյլա եւ Արիֆ Յունուսները դատապարտվել են համապատասխանաբար 8 եւ 7 տարի ժամկետով ազատազրկման: Բաքվի վճռաբեկ դատարանը նրանց 5 տարի ժամկետով պայմանական ազատազրկում է նշանակել: Երկու իրավապաշտպաններն էլ ձերբակալվել էին իշխանություններին քննադատելու եւ հասարակական գործունեության համար:

Ադրբեջանում Լեյլա Յունուսը եւ նրա ամուսին Արիֆ Յունուսը մեղադրվում են նաեւ, իբր, Հայաստանի օգտին լրտեսություն կատարելու մեջ, սակայն, նրանց հետապնդելու իրական պատճառը Ադրբեջանում առկա 98 քաղաքական բանտարկյալների խնդրի ակտուալացումն է եւ միջազգային կազմակերպություններին արված` Բաքվում 2015 թվականի մայիսին անցկացված Եվրոպական խաղերը բոյկոտելու մասին կոչերն են: Amnesty International կազմակերպությունը Լեյլա եւ Արիֆ Յունուսներին «խղճի բանտարկյալներ» է ճանաչել:
