Ընդհանրապես, Դաշնակցությունը չի կարելի ընդդիմության կամ իշխանության պրիզմայով նայել. այս մասին այսօր ԱԺ-ում լրագրողների հետ զրույցի ժամանակ ասաց ՀՅԴ խմբակցության ղեկավար Արմեն Ռուստամյանը:

«Դաշնակցությունն իր բոլոր տեսակետները պահպանել է` անկախ նրանից` ընդդիմության մե՞ջ է եղել, թե՞` իշխանության: Դրա մասին է խոսում մեր անցած ճանապարհը: Սա ոմանց անհանգստացնում է, բնականաբար, եւ այն մաքսիմալիզմը, ոչ իրատեսկան խնդիրներն ու նպատակները, որ ձեւավորել են ընդդիմադիր որոշ գործիչներ, եւ այդ պատճառով հենց ընդդիմությունն է այսօր դարձել անգործունյա. այսա մտահոգության տեղիք է տալիս: Փոխանակ նրանք իրենց մեջ մեղքը տեսնեն, ինչպես միշտ փորձում են ուրիշների մեջ մեղքը փնտրել եւ հեշտությամբ «գտնում են», բայց դրանից գործը չի փոխվում: Ես չգիտեմ` նրանց` դատարկությունը լցնող առաջարկները մինչեւ հիմա որոնք են եղել»,-ասաց պատգամավորը:

Լրագրողների այն դիտարկմանը, թե Սերժ Սարգսյանի` քաղաքական կամքին վերաբերող բազմաթիվ ելույթներ են եղել, որոնք կյանքի չեն կոչվել: Արդյոք կա՞ երաշխիք, որ իշխանությունը կպահի իր խոստումը, Ա Ռուստամյանը պատասխանեց. «Այո, տրվել են այդ երաշխիքները: Համաձայնագրի մեջ մի մասն արդեն երեւում է, եւ ցանկություն ունեցողը կտեսնի: Գլխավորը` քայլեր կան, որ պետք է կատարենք: Ես միշտ էլ ասել եմ` կողքից ինչ էլ ասես` կասեն, կհայհոյեն, բայց մեր ձեռքբերումներից կօգտվեն բոլորը»:

Լրագրողների այն տեսակետին, թե Շիրակի մարզն ընդգծված ընդդիմադիր հայացքներով է աչքի ընկնում, դժվա՞ր չի լինի այնտեղ ղեկավարել, ՀՅԴ խմբակցության ղեկավարը պատասխանեց. «Փոքր Հայաստանում որեւէ տեղ տարբերություն դնելը ճիշտ ճանապարհ չէ: Մենք պետք է մտնենք դժվար գործերի մեջ: Դաշնակցությունը երբեք դժվարություններից չի խուսափել: Շիրակում իսկապես լուրջ, կուտակված հարցեր կան, ծայրահեղ ծանր վիճակում գտնվող քաղաքացիների մեծ մասը Շիրակում է, եւ մենք, գիտակցելով, գնում ենք դրան: Ավելի լավ է մենք գնանք, ինչ-որ գործ անենք: Ժողովուրդը իմաստուն է եւ կտեսնի` ով է մտնում պատասխանատվության տակ»:
