 Վաշինգտոնում Կենտրոնական Ասիայի եւ Կովկասի Ջոն Հոփքինսի համալսարանում կազմակերպված հետխորհրդային պետություններում ժողովրդավարության ապահովման պարտավորությունների քննարկման թեմայով համաժողովումՄաքքեյնի ինստիտուտի մարդու իրավունքների եւազատությունների գծով տնօրեն Դեվիդ Կրամերըքննադատել է Ադրբեջանում ԱՄՆ դեսպան Ռոբերտ Սեկուտայի կողմնակալ պահվածքը իշխանությունների նկատմամբ:

Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը` վկայակոչելով minval.az կայքը, համաժողովում ունեցած ելույթում Կրամերն ասել է, որ հիսաթափված է դեսպան Սեկուտայի` ադրբեջանական իշխանամետ գործունեությամբ:

«Երկու օր առաջ Ռոբերտ Սեկուտայի հրապարակած հոդվածը հիասթափեցրել է ինձ: Նա մակերեսորեն է անդրադարձել նրանում ժողովրդավարության եւ մարդու իրավունքների հարցերին` չարտահայտելով որեւէ անհանգստություն», -ասել է Կրամերը:

Ամերիկացի փորձագետը ԱՄՆ դեսպանի` Ադրբեջանում ժողովրդավարության զարգացման նպատակով գործունեություն ծավալելու մասին խոսքը «դատարկ հայտարարություն» է անվանել` նշելով, որ Անվտանգության եւ ԱՄՆ էներգետիկական շահերն Ադրբեջանում բարձր են դասվում մարդու իրավունքներից եւ ժողովրդավարությունից:

Նրա խոսքով` վերջին երկու տարում Ադրբեջանում ուժեղացել է մարդու իրավունքների եւ ազատություններինկատմամբ հալածանքը: Կրամերն ընդգծել է, որ ներկայում Ադրբեջանում, որտեղ տնտեսական անկում է դիտվում, քաղբանտարկյալների թիվը երկու անգամ գերազանցում է ռուսաստանյան քաղբանտարկյալների թվից:

«Վախենում եմ, որ Ադրբեջանը սխալ ուղիով է գնում: Մարդու իրավունքներն ու ազատությունները երկրում ճնշվում են», -ընդգծել է նա:
