Այն օրվանից, երբ պարզ դարձավ, որ ՀՅԴ-ն սատարելու է Սահմանադրական բարեփոխումների հանրաքվեի անցկացմանը, ենթադրելի էր, որ դարավոր կուսակցությունը առևտուր է սկսել իշխանական կուսակցության հետ: Հանրաքվեի արդյունքներից հետո սկսվեց ապրանքափոխանակման գործընթացը: Թեև ՀՅԴ-ն, բացի քարոզարշավից, առանձնապես այլ ակտիվություն չկարողացավ ցուցաբերել, բայց նախնական պայմանավորվածությունը պետք է, որ հանգեր իր տրամաբանական ավարտին: Այս ընթացքում, իհարկե, ՀՅԴ-ն ցանկություն ուներ ավելի թանկ «վաճառել իրեն»՝ իշխող կուսակցությունից նախարարական ավելի շատ պորտֆելներ պոկելու համար, բայց դրա փոխարեն ՀՀԿ-ն ՀՅԴ-ին բոնուսի կարգով տվեց երկու մարզպետի պաշտոն, քանի որ ՀՅԴ-ն նախարարական երեք պորտֆելից ավելիին ուղղակի չէր ձգում:

Առաջին հայացքից թվում էր, թե պորտֆել կստանա նաև նախկինում սոցիալական ապահովության երկարամյա նախարարական կենսագրություն ունեցող Աղվան Վարդանյանը, բայց կյանքը ցույց տվեց, որ նրա ցանկությունը այդպես էլ չիրականացավ: Ի դեպ՝ ՀՅԴ-ում դաշնակցական ընկերների միջև ավելի վաղ էր հակասությունները սկսվել: Այն օրից երբ պարզ դարձավ, որ Դաշնակցությունում հին ընկերներին չեն մոռանում, ավելին՝ որոշել են կրկին փորձել հների հնարավորությունները, բազմաթիվ դաշնակցականներ սկսեցին բողոքի նոտա հղել ԳՄ-ին՝ սպառնալով հրաժարվել կուսակցությունից: Սակայն ՀՅԴ ղեկավարությունն իր քայլով ցույց տվեց, որ նախընտրում է փորձած թանը, քան՝ անփորձ մածունը: Այս համատեքստում ՀՅԴ «նախարարացուների» ցանկում պետք է, որ իր կայուն տեղն ունենար Աղվան Վարդանյանը, սակայն երկրի ղեկավարի ձեռամբ՝ ՀՅԴ-ի այդ թեկնածուն հեռու մղվեց նախարարական աթոռներից:

Այս ամենը, սակայն, չխանգարեց նախկին սոցապնախարարին նախարարական պոտֆելի ախորժակ ունենալ, սակայն դա բավականին կոպտորեն մերժվեց, ինչը և նրան բավականին վրդովեցրեց: Եվ հիմա Վարդանյանը չի կարողանում «մարսել», որ իշխանական վերևներում ինքը ցանկալի պերսոն չէ, ինչի պատճառով էլ սկսել է ամեն տեղ բարձրաձայնել, որ բոլորովին էլ համաձայն չէ իր կուսակիցների և իշխող կուսակցության միջև ՀՅԴ-ական նախարարների անձերի շուրջ համաձայնությանը: Եվ այդ անհամաձայնությունը նա արտահայտում է իր կուսակից ընկերների վրա  տեղեկատվական հարթակներով տարբեր մեծության «բոչկաներ» գլորելով: Այդ գրոհները չեն շրջանցել ԱԺ դաշնակցական պատգամավոր, Մեղեդի սրճարանի սեփականատեր Միքայել Մանուկյանին, նորանշանակ նախարարներ Դավիթ Լոքյանին, Արծվիկ Մինասյանին և ալյոց:

Մեր տեղեկություններով՝ ի տարբերություն Արմեն Ռուսատամյանի, ով ընդհանրապես պաշտոն զբաղեցնելու հավակնություններ չունի, Աղվան Վարդանյանը համաձայն է ցանկացած պաշտոնի, միայն թե որևէ աթոռ իրեն վստահեն: Դա է պատճառը, որ Ա.Վարդանյանը չի վարանում ձեռքի հետ ցեխ շպրտել նախարար դարձած իր կուսակից ընկերների հասցեին թե՛ կուսակցական, և թե՛ իշխանական կուլիսներում:

Բանն  այն է, որ այս վերադասավորումները ուղղակիորեն ազդելու են նաև ապագա խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների հետ, որտեղ Աղվան Վարդանյանին այլևս առաջին ջութակի դերեր չեն վստահվելու:

Ի դեպ՝ Աղվան Վարդանյան-Արծվիկ Մինասյան հակամարտությունն այնքան էլ նոր չի սկսվել, բայց որ այս խմորը դեռ շատ ջուր կվերցնի, ակնհայտ է:
