ԵՄ միասնական արտաքին քաղաքականության և անվտանգության հարցերով բարձր ներկայացուցիչ Ֆեդերիկա Մոգերինին 2015թ. կարևոր տարեթիվ է համարում Հայաստան-ԵՄ հարաբերությունների համար: ՀՀ նախագահական նստավայրում լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը Մոգերինին նշեց, որ տարին նշանավորվել է կողմերի համատեղ դիտարկումներով հետագա հարաբերությունների շրջանակների վերաբերյալ: «Դեկտեմբերին մեկնարկել են Հայաստան-Եվրոպական Միություն բանակցությունները հետագա համագործակցության վերաբերյալ: Այսօր մենք դիտարկում ենք այդ հարաբերությունների խորացման հնարավորությունները և որքան լայն շրջանակներ մասնակցեն այս քննարկումներին, այնքան ավելի դրական արդյունքների մենք կարող ենք հասնել»,- նշեց Մոգերինին:

Նա հավելեց, որ Հայաստանը և Եվրամիությունը կարող են լավ գործընկերներ լինել: «Նույնիսկ այս դժվար ժամանակներում Եվրամիությունը հանդիսանում է Հայաստանի առաջին առևտրային գործընկերը, առաջին ներդրողը և առաջին դրամաշնորհատուն: Սակայն խոսքը միայն փողի մասին չէ, նույնիսկ եթե այն փոքր դեր չի խաղում: Անհրաժեշտ է շեշտել նաև ժողովրդավարությունը, օրենքի գերակայությունը, կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարը, մարդու իրավունքների և հիմնարար ազատությունների, արդարադատության ապահովումը»,- նշեց ԵՄ  միասնական արտաքին քաղաքականության և անվտանգության հարցերով բարձր ներկայացուցիչը:

Նրա խոսքով՝ անհրաժեշտ է նաև հատուկ ուշադրություն դարձնել նոր ընտրական օրենսգրքի վրա: «Մենք քննարկել ենք նաև այս հարցը և կարևորել ենք, որպեսզի նոր օրենսգրքի քննարկումներին ներգրավված լինեն հասարակության որքան հնարավոր է լայն շրջանակներ: Եվրամիությունը սատարում է ԵԱՀԿ-ԺՄՀԻԳ-ին՝ Հայաստանում սահմանադրական բարեփոխումների վերաբերյալ զեկույցի հարցում: Անհրաժեշտ է թափանցիկ հետաքննություն վարել ենթադրյալ կեղծիքների վերաբերյալ: Հարկավոր է առաջ մղել նաև ինստիտուցիոնալ բարեփոխումների իրականացումը և մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության ապահովումը: Այս դեպքում շատ կարևոր է լավագույնս օգտագործել Եվրամիության աջակցությունը, որը կենտրոնացած հանրային կառավարման, արդարադատության ոլորտի բարեփոխումների վրա»,- եզրափակեց Ֆեդերիկա Մոգերինին:
