«Արմենիա» հեռուստաընկերությանը տված հարցազրույցում ՀՅԴ Բյուրոյի անդամ Հրանտ Մարգարյանն անդրադարձել է նաև Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի ու ՀՅԴ-ի հարաբերություններին և մասնավորապես նշել. «Մենք հարգում ենք Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանին անկախ նրանից, որ իր տեսակետը չենք ընդունում Սահմանադրության հարցում: Թեպետ ինքը մի քանի ամիս առաջ համակարգային փոփոխություն, խորհրդարանական Հայաստանն անհրաժեշտություն էր համարում: Մեկ հարցում նրա մեջ մեծ փոփոխություն է տեղի ունեցել: Երբ ինքը նախագահ էր, դեմ էր, բայց մարդը փոխվում է, փոխվել էր և կողմ էր: Հիմա էլի նորից դեմ է, բայց էդ չի կարևորը, հիմա Ռոբերտ Քոչարայանը հարգել ենք, հարգում ենք, բայց մենք Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի հետևորդը չենք, Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանը մեր ղեկավարը չի, Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանն անձ է, Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանը նույնիսկ կուսակցություն չի, որ կարողնանաք իր հետ համագործակցություն սկսենք»:
Կարծում եմ, ներքաղաքական վերադասավորումների համատեքստում այս հայտարարությունը բավական հետաքրքիր շեշտադրումներ է իր մեջ պարունակում, քանի որ այն բացահայտում է ՀՅԴ-Ռ. Քոչարյան հարաբերությունների որոշ կարևոր կողմեր: Այսպիսով, Հ. Մարգարյանը բաց տեքստով նշում է, որ Դաշնակցությունը երկրորդ նախագահի հետևորդը չէ և Քոչարյանն էլ Դաշնակցության ղեկավարը չէ: Այնուհետև, նա, ընդգծելով Քոչարյանի` անհատ և ոչ քաղաքական ուժ լինելու հանգամանքը, նաև տեսականորեն, կարծես, բացառում է վերջինիս հետ ՀՅԴ-ի համագործակցության հնարավորությունը:
Այնուհետև, Հ. Մարգարյանը, թեև խոսում է Քոչարյանի հանդեպ իրենց ունեցած հարգանքի մասին, բայց միևնույն ժամանակ մատնացույց է անում վերջինիս դիրքորոշման տատանումները` կապված համակարգային փոփոխություն կատարելու անհրաժեշտության հետ, ինչը, ըստ իս նաև երկրորդ նախագահի նկատմամբ քննադատական նրբերանգ է իր մեջ պարունակում:
Եվ վերջապես, սահմանադրական բարեփոխումների թեման ՀՅԴ-ի համար առանցքային նշանակություն ունեցող խնդիր է ու այստեղ Ռ. Քոչարյանի հետ ունեցած տարաձայնությունները, ինչպես նաև վերոնշյալ մի քանի հանգամանքները ցույց են տալիս, որ գոնե ներքաղաքական գործընթացների այս փուլում Դաշնակցության ու երկրորդ նախագահի ճանապարհները բաժանվում են:
