24 տարեկան հասակում բրիտանուհի Էննը ամուսնացել է իր հասակակից Քրիստոֆեր Բոլթոնի հետ: Սկզբում ամեն ինչ հիանալի է եղել, բայց հինգ տարի անց ընտանիքում հակասություններ են ծագել: Վեճերի պատճառը Էննի տարիքն է եղել, քանի որ ծերությունը նրա կողքով էր անցնում:
