Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ ծայրագույն պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց կաթողիկոսը Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում մարտի 10-ին ընդունել է Շիրակի նորանշանակ մարզպետ Հովսեփ Սիմոնյանին և Շիրակի թեմի առաջնորդ Գերաշնորհ Տեր Միքայել եպիսկոպոս Աջապահյանին:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին Մայր Աթոռի տեղեկատվական համակարգից, հանդիպմանն Ամենայն Հայոց կաթող իկոսը նշանակման առիթով շնորհավորել է մարզպետին և հաջողություններ մաղթել նրա ծառայությանը: Նորին Սրբությունը հավելել է, որ դժվարին առաքելություն է Շիրակի մարզպետ լինելը, քանի որ մարզում տակավին վերացված չեն երկրաշարժի ավերիչ հետևանքները:

Այս կապակցությամբ Ամենայն Հայոց կաթողիկոսը գոհունակությամբ արձանագրել է, որ Միքայել Սրբազանը ևս մասնակից է մարզի բնակչության խնդիրների կարգավորմանն ուղղված սոցիալական ծրագրերին և, իբրև «Գյումրին առանց տնակների» ծրագրի հոգաբարձուների խորհրդի նախագահ, իր աջակցությունն է բերելու Գյումրու կարիքավոր ընտանիքներին:

Իր հերթին Հովսեփ Սիմոնյանը վստահություն է հայտնել, որ Մայր Աթոռ Ս. Էջմիածնի և Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետի օրհնությամբ ավելի արդյունավետ կերպով կկարողանա կատարել իր պարտականությունները: Նա խոսել է նաև մարզպետարանի և թեմի միջև առկա ջերմ ու գործակցային հարաբերությունների մասին` պատրաստակամություն հայտնելով ըստ ամենայնի զորակցելու Հայ եկեղեցու ազգանպաստ առաքելությանը:

Վերջում Նորին Սրբությունը Շիրակի մարզպետին մաղթել է Աստծու օրհնության ներքո փառքով և պատվով իրականացնելու իր ծառայությունը: Զրույցի ընթացքում անդրադարձ է կատարվել մարզի սոցիալական խնդիրներին, ինչպես նաև հոգևոր կյանքին ու եկեղեցաշինության ծրագրերին:
