Եվրահանձնաժողովի նախագահ Ժան Կլոդ Յունկերը գտնում է, որ Թուրքիան պատրաստ չէ միանալու Եվրամիությանը:

Այս մասին, ինչպես հաղորդում է Արմենպրեսը, Յունկերը հայտարարել է Handelsblatt հրատարակությանը տված հարցազրույցում:

Յունկերը գտնում է, որ, չնայած միգրացիոն ճգնաժամի լուծման հարցով ԵՄ հետ համագործակցությունն ուժեղացնելուն, Թուրքիային պետք չէ մոտ ժամանակում եվրոպական բլոկին միանալու հույս տածել:

«Թուրքիան ներկա պահին պատրաստ չէ անդամակցությանը: Կարծում եմ, որ դա չի լինելու նաեւ մոտակա 10 տարիներին», -հայտարարել է նա:

Եվրահանձնաժողովի նախագահը նաեւ միգրացիոն ճգնաժամի գծով Թուրքիա-ԵՄ գագաթաժողովում համաձայնության հասնելու հույս է հայտնել, որը պետք է անցկացվի մարտի 17-18-ին Բրյուսելում: «Ես զգուշավոր լավատեսություն եմ տածում», -ասել է Ժան Կլոդ Յունկերը:

Միգրացիոն ճգնաժամի բրյուսելյան գագաթաժողովի նախօրեին, անդրադառնալով Թուրքիայի ԵՄ անդամակցության հարցին, Գերմանիայի Դաշնության կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելը հայտարարել է, որ Թուրքիայի ԵՄ անդամակցության հարցն օրակարգում չէ: Նա ասել է, որ Թուրքիայի` ԵՄ-ին անդամակցության պայմանները չեն փոխվել եւ չեն էլ փոխվելու: Գերմանացի վարչապետը մեկ անգամ եւս ընդգծել է Թուրքիայի առաջ դրված պայմաններից մամուլի ազատության եւ քրդերի նկատմամբ վերաբերմունքի հարցում ԵՄ պահանջներում վճռականությունը:
