«Հրապարակ օրաթերթում» մարտի 1-ին լույս էր տեսել Գավառում բնակվող Ամալյա Ղազարյանի բաց նամակը՝ մի շարք բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաներին, ինչպես նաև բարերար Գագիկ Ծառուկյանին: 

Ազատամարտիկի մայրը հայտնել էր, որ 6 հոգուց բաղկացած ընտանիքը գտնվում է ծայրահեղ ծանր վիճակում և ունի բարի մարդկանց ուշադրության կարիքը: Նամակն անտարբեր չի թողել Գագիկ Ծառուկյանին: Վերջինիս հանձնարարությամբ՝ բարեգործական հիմնադրամի տնօրեն Իվետա Տոնոյանն ընդունել է տիկին Ամալյային ու լսել մտահոգությունները:

Տիկին Ամալյան պատմել է, որ իր որդին սահմանին վիրավորվել է, մեդալ ստացել: Ծանր վիրահատություններ է տարել՝ երեք  անգամ, զրկվել երիկամից, կենսական օրգաններից: Այդ ընթացքում տիկին Ամալյան վաճառել է ունեցած-չունեցածը՝ որդու բուժման համար: 

«Թոշակ նշանակեցին, բայց դա այնքան չնչին է, որ չի բավարարում»,- պատմում է տիկին Ամալյան ու հավելում՝ որդին գործազուրկ կին ունի և երեք անչափահաս երեխա: Տեսնելով հւսահատ որդուն՝ տիկինը որոշել է գրել բաց նամակը, դիմել բարի մարդկանց օգնությանը և նշել նաև Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի անունը:

Ընտանիքի խնդիրները հաղթահարելու համար «Գագիկ Ծառուկյան» բարեգործական հիմնադրամը 1 մլն դրամ է հատկացրել: Տիկին Ամալյան բառերով չի կարողանում նկարագրել հուզմունքն ու ուրախությունը, որ ապրել են Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի արձագանքից:
