Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջազգային կազմակերպություն, (ՖՄԿ), (ֆր.՝ Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie) ֆրանսերենի և համընդհանուր արժեքների ամրագրման և տարածման միջազգային հաստատություն, հիմնադրվել է 1970 թվականին։ Կազմակերպությունում ընդգրկված են 57 լիիրավ, 3 ասոցիացված և 20 դիտորդի կարգավիճակ ունեցող պետություն, որոնցից 32-ում ֆրանսերենն ունի պաշտոնական լեզվի կամ երկրորդ պաշտոնական լեզվի կարգավիճակ։ Ֆրանսերենը նաև ՄԱԿ-ի 6 պաշտոնական լեզուներից մեկն է։ ՖՄԿ-ում ընդգրկված երկրների բնակչության ընդհանուր թիվը կազմում է 890 միլիոն, որից 220 միլիոնը ֆրանկոֆոններ են։ ՖՄԿ-ում ներգրավված երկրները սփռված են աշխարհի հինգ մայրցամաքներում։ ՄԱԿ-ի անդամ երկրների մեկ երրորդից ավելին անդամակցում է ՖՄԿ-ին։ Կազմակերպությունը հիմնադրվել է 1970 թվականին. կարգախոսն է égalité, complémentarité, solidarité (հավասարություն, փոխլրացում, համերաշխություն)։

Սկզբնական ձևավորվել է որպես փոքրիկ ակումբ հյուսիսային ֆրանսախոս երկրներում, այնուհետև դարձել միջազգային կազմակերպություն, որը ունի բազմաթիվ մասնաճյուղեր իր անդամ երկրներում՝ մշակութային, գիտական, տնտեսական, արդարադատության ու խաղաղության հարցերով։ ՖՄԿ առանցքային գործունեությունն է հանդիսանում աջակցությունն անդամ երկրների կողմից որդեգրած քաղաքականության ամրապնդմանը և համագործակցության ոլորտում բազմակողմանի ծրագրերի իրականացումը։
ՖՄԿ գերակայությունների և հիմնական գործողությունների առանցքն են հանդիսանում ժողովրդավարությանը, մարդու իրավունքների առաջխաղացմանն ուղղված արժեքների ամրապնդումը, խաղաղության ապահովումը, հակամարտությունների կանխարգելումը, կառավարումը և լուծումը, ֆրանսերենի, լեզվա-մշակութային բազմազանության առաջխաղացումը, մշակութային և քաղաքակրթական երկխոսությունների հաճախակի դարձնելը, հանրակրթական ու բարձրագույն ուսուցմանը և գիտությանն ի նպաստ աջակցությունը, ինչպես նաև Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի անդամ պետությունների միջև համագործակցության զարգացումը՝ ի շահ բնապահպանական հիմունքներով այդ երկրների զարգացման և ժողովուրդների միջև համերաշխության ապահովման:

Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի որոշում կայացնող ամենաբարձր քաղաքական մարմինը Երկրների և կառավարությունների ղեկավարների գագաթաժողովն է, որը հրավիրվում է երկու տարին մեկ անգամ, և ՖՄԿ գլխավոր քարտուղարը։ Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի նախարարական համաժողովը միավորում է ֆրանկոֆոն կամ արտաքին գործերի նախարարին ամեն տարի՝ ապահովելու Գագաթնաժողովի քաղաքական շարունակելիությունը։ Համաժողովն ապահովում է նախորդ Գագաթնաժողովի կողմից ընդունած որոշումների իրականացումը։ Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի մշտական խորհուրդ համախմբում է անդամ երկրների դեսպաններին՝ պլանավորելու Գագաթնաժողովը, ինչպես նաև վերահսկում է դրա որոշումների կայացման գործընթացը։ Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի խորհրդարանական վեհաժողովի դերն է ՖՄԿ գործադիր ատյաններում ֆրանկոֆոն երկրների ժողովուրդների շահերի և ակնկալիքների ներկայացումը, այդ երկրներում ժողովրդավարության և իրավունքի ամրապնդումը և ամենակարևորը՝ մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանությունը ֆրանկոֆոն հանրության ներսում։ Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի գործակալությունը Գագաթնաժողովում որոշվելիք մշակութային, գիտական, տեխնիկական, տնտեսական և իրավական համագործակցության ծրագրերի հիմնական օպերատորն է։ Այն նաև գլխավոր քարտուղարի պաշտոնական նստավայրն է։
