Իշխանության նպատակն է ունենալ այնպիսի Ընտրական օրենսգիրք, որը կբարձրացնի ընտրողների վստահության մակարդակը: Այս մասին լրագրողների հետ զրույցում մարտի 22-ին նշեց ՀՀ ազգային ժողովի նախագահի տեղակալ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը:

«Մենք պատրաստ ենք լսել և աշխատել ընդդիմության մեր գործընկերների հետ, որովհետև խնդիրը ձևաչափը չէ: Խնդիրն այն է, որ կարողանանք ունենալ այնպիսի Ընտրական օրենսգիրք, որը կբարձրացնի վստահության մակարդակը և որի վերջնական մշակմանը կմասնակցեն թե’ ընդդիմության, թե’ հասարակական կառույցների ներկայացուցիչներ»,- Արմենպրեսի փոխանցմամբ`նշեց Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը:

Անդրադառնալով լրագրողներից մեկի դիտարկմանը, թե պատգամավոր Լևոն Զուրաբյանը հայտարարել է, որ իրենք փորձելու են իշխանություններին ճնշել, Շարմազանովը շեշտեց. «Եթե ընդդիմությունը «ճնշում» բառից իրեն լավ է զգում, թող անունը դնի «ճնշում»: Ես կարծում եմ, որ կարևորը ոչ թե ձևի, այլ բովանդակության վրա կենտրոնանալն է: Եթե Լևոն Զուրաբյանը «ճնշում» բառից լավ է իրեն զգում, թող ասի, որ մեզ ճնշել է: Ինձ համար իրականը արդյունքն է»:
