ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն մարտի 23-ին ընդունել է Քուվեյթի Պետության արդարադատության նախարար, Վակֆերի և իսլամական հարցերի նախարար Յակուբ Աբդուլմոհսեն Ալ-Սանեայի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը:

Հանրապետության Նախագահը գոհունակությամբ է արձանագրել, որ Հայաստանի և Քուվեյթի միջև հարաբերությունները զարգանում են բնականոն հունով, տարեցտարի ընդլայնվում է երկկողմ համագործակցության օրակարգը:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Սերժ Սարգսյանը ջերմությամբ է հիշել 2009թ. Քուվեյթի Պետություն կատարած իր պետական այցը, որի արդյունքում զգալիորեն ակտիվացել են երկու ժողովուրդների դարավոր բարեկամության հիմքի վրա խարսխված միջպետական հարաբերությունները, Հայաստանում և Քուվեյթում բացվել են դեսպանություններ, արդեն կայացել է միջկառավարական հանձնաժողովի երկու նիստ՝ նախանշելով փոխգործակցության զա րգացման նոր հնարավորություններ:

Հանրապետության Նախագահը հայ-քուվեյթյան հարաբերությունների ամրապնդման գործում մեծ դեր է վերապահել Հայաստանում և Քուվեյթում դիվանագիտական ներկայացուցչություններին՝ հույս հայտնելով, որ նրանք այսուհետ ավելի կակտիվացնեն իրենց ջանքերը: Սերժ Սարգսյանը կարևորել է բարձր մակարդակի քաղաքական, տնտեսական, մշակութային հարաբերություններին զուգահեռ արդարադատության ոլորտում զարգացող համագործակցությունը, որի հիմքը դրվել է նախարար Յակուբ Աբդուլմոհսեն Ալ-Սանեայի այցի շրջանակներում ստորագրված միջպետական համաձայնագրով:

Հանրապետության Նախագահը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Քուվեյթի էմիր Շեյխ Սաբահ Ալ-Ահմադ Ալ-Սաբահին և երկրի կառավարությանը՝ Քուվեյթի հայ համայնքի նկատմամբ հոգատար ու բարյացակամ վերաբերմունքի, ինչպես նաև մերձավորարևելյան ճգնաժամի հետևանքով տուժած սիրիացիներին տրամադրվող օգնության շրջանակներում սիրիահայերին ևս Քուվեյթի Պետության կողմից ցուցաբերվող աջակցության համար:

Քուվեյթի արդարադատության նախարարը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել ՀՀ Նախագահին ջերմ ընդունելության համար և նշել, որ համակարծիք է կարճ ժամանակահատվածում երկու բարեկամ պետությունների հարաբերություններում արձանագրված առաջընթացի վերաբերյալ Հայաստանի Նախագահի գնահատականին: Նախարարը կարևորել է բարձր մակարդակով ձեռք բերված հայ-քուվեյթյան պայմանավորվածությունները և մինչ այժմ ստորագրված փաստաթղթերը կյանքի կոչելու ուղղությամբ երկու կողմերի պատասխանատու պաշտոնյաների ակտիվ աշխատանքը, ինչպես նաև այդ նպատակով միմյանց հետ սերտ փոխգործակցության հաստատումը: Նա հույս է հայտնել, որ իր այցի ընթացքում ստորագրված համաձայնագիրը համագործակցությունն ընդլայնելու և նոր ստորագրվելիք փաստաթղթերի հիմք կդառնա:
