Armenia Deputy FM: Turkey backs continuation of military actions

YEREVAN. - Turkey encourages the continuation of the aggressor’s actions, Deputy FM of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan stated, referring to the reaction of the Turkish authorities on the dramatic escalation of situation in the Karabakh conflict zone.
''It's a pity that Turkey judges the significance of human losses according to national affiliation. Through such racist statements, Turkey stimulates the continuation of the aggressor’s actions against the self-determined Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. This also finds its place in the logic of the policy of Turkey's current authorities, this resulting in the dissemination of a wave of instability, terrorism and bloodshed both within Turkey and beyond its borders,'' Kocharyan said.
The situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone dramatically escalated on Saturday night. From regular shootings and frequent sabotage-reconnaissance attempts, Azerbaijan has now shifted to large-scale attack all along the Line of Contact, using a variety of weaponry as well as artillery, armored vehicles, and air force. Both sides have suffered losses.
