Հայրենասեր, համեստ, գործի նվիրյալ. Երևանի Սուրբ Հովհաննես եկեղեցում տեղի ունեցավ ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական շփման գծում հակառակորդի կողմից սանձազերծված մարտական գործողությունների հետևանքով զոհված ավագ լետենանտ Բենյամին Եղոյանի հոգեհանգիստը: 

Հոգեհանգստի արարողությանը մասնակցում էին նրա հարազատները, ընկերները և պարզապես մարդիկ, ովքեր եկել էին հրաժեշտ տալու հերոսին:   

Ընտանիքի բարեկամ Անուշավան Սարգսյանը փաստում է` Եղոյանը հայրենասեր անձնավորություն էր:  «Ընտանիքի մյուս որդու հետ դժբախտ պատահար է տեղի ունեցել, մահացել է: Շատ հայրենասեր, շատ մարդկային, հոյակապ հայ էր: Ավագ լեյտենանտ էր, սովորել էր Մոնթե Մելքոնյանի անվան ռազմական ուսումնարանում»,- պատմեց ընտանիքի բարեկամը:

«Փոքր Մհեր» կրթահամալիրի մանկավարժ Մարինե Առաքելյանը Բենյամին Եղոյանի դասղեկն է եղել:

«Նա 2003 թվականից կրթահամալիր է տեղափոխվել, 5-րդ դասարանից եղել եմ նրա դասղեկը: Խորը վիշտ ու ցավ եմ ապրում: Կորցրել ենք իսկական հերոսի: Դասավանդել եմ գրականություն: Հոյակապ անձնավորություն էր, օգնում էր թույլերին, թույլ չէր տալիս որևէ մեկին վիրավորել: Միշտ կապ ենք ունեցել, խորհուրդներ էր հարցնում, իր հաջողությունների մասին պատմում»,- նշեց Մարինե Առաքելյանը:

Բենիամին Եղոյանի դասախոս, փոխգնդապետ Գրիգոր Սերոբյանը միշտ գոհ է եղել իր ուսանողից:

«Շատ լավ կուրսանտ էր, դրական արդյունքներ էր ցուցաբերում, համեստ, կշռադատված էր: Ցավոք, նման բախտի չպետք է արժանանար: Պատերազմը տանում է լավերին: Շատ բան կպատմեի նրա մասին, բայց հուզմունքը թույլ չի տալիս: Նրա հայրը մեր հայտնի գնդապետներից էր, ուզում էր հոր ուղին շարունակել»,-հավելեց Գրիգոր Սերոբյանը:

Ավագ լեյտենանտ Բենիամին Ներսեսի Եղոյանը ծնվել է 1992թ.: Զինված ուժերում էր 2009-ից: Հերոսին կհուղարկավորեն Եռաբլուրում:
