«Ժամանակ» թերթը գրում է. «Ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության կարգավորման գործընթացի ցանկացած ակտիվ կամ թեժ փուլում տարածքային զիջումների կամ փոխզիջումների խնդիրը դարձել է ամենաակտիվ շոշափվող թեմաներից մեկը, եւ ոչ միայն զարմանալի ոչ մի բան չկա այն հարցում, որ այսօր այդ խնդիրը եւս դարձել է ակտիվ քննարկումների առարկա, այլ միանգամայն սպասելի էր, որ հենց այդպես էլ կլինի:

Եվ այս իմաստով արդեն երեւի թե չարժե առանձնակի քննարկել, թե հատկապես ում նախաձեռնությամբ է խնդիրը հայտնվել օրակարգում, ով է գեներացրել ակտիվ քննարկումները՝ միջնորդնե՞րն են նրանք, թե՞ նրանցից մեկը, իսկ գուցե Հայաստանի իշխանությունները: Այս ամենը, ըստ էության, երկրորդական նշանակություն ունի գլխավոր խնդրի համեմատ՝ հասկանալ, թե որտեղ է Հայաստանի եւ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի շահը, անվտանգությունը եւ ինչ է պահանջվում դրա համար:

Եվ այս տեսանկյունից, այն բանից հետո, երբ քառօրյա պատերազմի ընթացքում մոբիլիզացվեց գրեթե ամբողջ ազգը, հերոսաբար կռվեցին հայ զինվորները, կամավորները, հրամանատարները, իսկ նրանցից մի քանի տասնյակն էլ զոհեցին իրենց կյանքը, Հայաստանի շահն ու անվտանգությունը պահանջում են նախ՝ շտապ դադարեցնել տարածքների զիջման կամ փոխզիջման մասին խոսակցությունները: Դա է պահանջում անվտանգության հրամայականը, ինչպես նաեւ տարրական հարգանքը զոհերի հիշատակի հանդեպ:

Եվ ուրեմն՝ որքան բնական է, որ հարցը տարերայնորեն պետք է դառնար քննարկման առարկա, նույնքան բնական պետք է լինի այդ քննարկումները թողնելը: Մեծ հաշվով, այդ քննարկումները, ըստ էության, պատերազմի շարունակություն են, այսինքն՝ եթե քառօրյա պատերազմից հետո հայաստանյան հասարակության դիսկուրսը դա է, ուրեմն պատերազմը Հայաստանի եւ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի դեմ շարունակվում է: Այսօր չի կարող այլ դիսկուրս լինել Հայաստանի եւ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի համար, քան տնտեսական զարգացմանն ուղղված շուտափույթ քայլերի վերաբերյալ քննարկումները, պահանջները, գաղափարական, մտավոր գրոհները կառավարության վրա:

Քառօրյա պատերազմից հետո Հայաստանն այլ անելիք չունի՝ Լավրովը կգա, թե որեւէ մեկը, որեւէ բան կառաջարկեն, թե ոչ, Հայաստանն այլ անելիք չունի, Հայաստանը որեւէ մարտահրավեր կասեցնելու այլ տարբերակ չունի, քան զարգացման ամենաարագ ճանապարհների նախանշումն ու դրանցով հնարավորինս արագ եւ դինամիկ ընթացքը: Հետեւաբար՝ տարածքների խնդիրը ֆիզիկական կամ աշխարհագրական չէ, այդ խնդիրը բովանդակային է: Կա Հայաստանի եւ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի բովանդակ տարածք, որը պահվում է, եթե այդ տարածքը զարգացող տարածք է, եւ որը չի պահվում, եթե այդ տարածքը զարգացող չէ՝ անկախ դրա աշխարհագրական կամ ֆիզիկական պատկանելությունից:

Տարածքի հանձնում է ամեն մի չբացված աշխատատեղը Հայաստանում, որ կարող էր բացվել, եթե չլիներ որեւէ մեկի մենաշնորհը, եթե չլիներ կոռուպցիան, եթե չլիներ օլիգոպոլիան, եթե լիներ ազատ եւ իրավապես պաշտպանված մրցակցություն: Սա է խնդիրը, եւ ուրեմն՝ Լավրովը կգա, կգնա, կգան ու կգնան այլք, գլխավոր հարցն այն է, թե ե՞րբ պետք է գա ու այլեւս չգնա մեր կյանքի որակը փոխելու համար անհրաժեշտ կամքը, խելքը, իսկ ոմանց մոտ, իհարկե, նաեւ խիղճը: Կամ ավելի շուտ՝ ե՞րբ ենք մենք՝ որպես հասարակություն, բերելու դա: Ահա հարցը, որ պետք է զբաղեցնի մեր միտքն ու ժամանակը քառօրյա պատերազմից հետո: Իսկ Լավրովին թող զբաղեցնի Նալբանդյանը»:
