Սաուդյան Արաբիայի իշխանությունները հավանություն են տվել տնտեսական բարեփոխումների ծրագրին, որը պետք Է երկրին օգնի ձերբազատվել նավթի եկամուտների կախվածությունից, տեղեկացնում է BBC-ին:

Պլանն ստացել Է Saudi Vision 2030 անվանումը: Այն իրենից ներկայացնում Է առաջիկա տարիներին այն գործողությունների ծրագիրը, որոնք կօգնեն դիվերսիֆիկացնելու երկրի տնտեսությունը:

Ծրագիրը ենթադրում Է 2 տրլն դոլար գումարի սուվերեն ֆոնդի ստեղծում, հայտնել Է երկրի գահաժառանգ արքայազն Մուհամադ իբն Սալմանը: 

Պլանը նաեւ նախատեսում Է մասնավորեցման իրականացում, սուբսիդիաների կրճատում եւ Aramco պետական նավթընկերության 5 տոկոսի վաճառք, որից հասույթը կուղղորդվի ֆոնդի ստեղծմանը:

Ինչպես Մուհամադ իբն Սալմանը պատմել Է «Ալ Արաբիա» հեռուստաալիքին տված հարցազրույցում, սուվերեն ֆոնդի ստեղծումը կոչված Է նավթի խոշորագույն արտահանողին վերածել գլոբալ ներդրումային տերության:   

Սալմանի խոսքով՝ մինչեւ 2020 թվականը Սաուդյան Արաբիայի տնտեսությունն ընդհանրապես կախված չի լինի նավթից: Այժմ երկիրն իր եկամուտների մոտավորապես 80 տոկոսն ստանում Է ռեսուրսի վաճառքից:
