ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանն ապրիլի 25-ին ընդունել է Հայաստանում Եվրամիության պատվիրակության ղեկավար, դեսպան Պյոտր Սվիտալսկիին:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում Հայաստանի պաշտպանական գերատեսչության ղեկավարը դեսպան Սվիտալսկիին ներկայացրել է տեղեկատվություն ԼՂՀ-ի դեմ Ադրբեջանի սանձազերծած լայնածավալ հարձակողական գործողությունների և շփման գծում ներկայումս տիրող իրավիճակի վերաբերյալ:

ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարը զրուցակցի ուշադրությունը հրավիրել է քառօրյա ռազմական գործողությունների դադարեցման մասին բանավոր պայմանավորվածության անտեսմամբ ադրբեջանական զինուժի կողմից շփման գծում սադրանքների շարունակման հանգամանքի վրա: Այս համատեքստում Սեյրան Օհանյանը կարևորել է ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական հակամարտ զորքերի շփման գծում և հայ-ադրբեջանական պետական սահմանին վստահության ամրապնդման մեխանիզմների, ինչպես նաև հրադադարի պահպանման կարողությունների շուտափույթ ներդրման, իրավիճակը սրող և նախահարձակ կողմին միջազգային հանրության կողմից հասցեագրված դատապարտման հրամայականը:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարության տեղեկատվության եւ հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, զրուցակիցները քննարկել են նաև Հայաստան-ԵՄ հարաբերություններին առնչվող հարցեր: Սեյրան Օհանյանը կարևորել է Հայաստանի պետական կառավարման ոլորտում իրականացվող բարեփոխումներին, մասնավորապես` մարդու իրավունքների և կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարի ոլորտներում Եվրամիության կողմից ցուցաբերվող օժանդակությունը` հույս հայտնելով, որ ՀՀ և ԵՄ միջև ձևավորված արդյունավետ համագործակցությունը և բոլոր հնարավոր ոլորտներում իրականացվող ակտիվ երկխոսությունը կունենա շարունակական բնույթ:

Դեսպան Սվիտալսկին իր հերթին բարձր է գնահատել անվտանգության և պաշտպանության ոլորտում Հայաստանի Հանրապետության հետ իրականացվող շփումների կարևորությունը, վստահություն հայտնելով, որ առկա են այդ հարաբերությունները խորացնելու և որակական նոր մակարդակի տեղափոխելու բոլոր նախադրյալները:
