Ազգային ժողովի պետաիրավական հարցերի մշտական հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Հովհաննես Սահակյանի համար անհասկանալի են հնչող գնահատականները, թե Ընտրական օրենսգրքի շուրջ կոնսենսուս չի կայացել:

Ազգային ժողովում ՀՀ ԸՕ նախագծի քննարկման ընթացքում, հանդես գալով հարակից զեկույցով, Հովհաննես Սահակյանն ընդգծեց, որ Ընտրական օրենսգրքի նախագծի նախնական տարբերակը բազմաթիվ անգամներ քննարկվել է տարբեր հասարակական կազմակերպությունների, սո ցիալական խմբերի հետ

:«Այն գնահատականները, որ չի կայացել կոնսենսուս, ես մի փոքր անհասկանալի եմ համարում և տարօրինակ: Դավիթ Հարությունյանն էլ ասաց, որ մենք բազմաթիվ քննարկումներ ենք ունեցել տարբեր ՀԿ-ների, սոցիալական խմբերի հետ և փորձել ենք արդյունքները ամփոփել այս նախագծի մեջ»,- նշեց Սահակյանը:

Անդրադառնալով Ազգային ժողովում Ընտրական օրենսգրքի նախագծի քննարկումներին մասնակցությունն առկախելու ՀԱԿ խմբակցության որոշմանը՝ Հովհաննես Սահակյանը նկատեց, որ ավելի լավ կլիներ, որ ՀԱԿ-ը մասնակցեր քննարկումներին և ներկայացներ իր առաջարկները, ոչ թե խմբակցության տեսակետը ներկայացնելուց հետո երեք հոգով լքեին դահլիճը՝ ներկայացնելով, թե կոնսենսուս չի կայացել, իսկ Ընտրական օրենսգրքի նախագծի շուրջ քննարկումներն անարդյունավետ են եղել:

Պատգամավորը վստահ է, որ Ազգային ժողովում ԸՕ-ի նախագծի շուրջ քննարկումներն օգտակար են լինելու: Նա հայտնեց, որ արդեն կա պայմանավորվածություն, որ նախագծի առաջինից երկրորդ ընթերցման ռեժիմում խորհրդարանի պետաիրավական հարցերի մշտական հանձնաժողովում շարունակվելու են քննարկումները:

Հովհաննես Սահակյանը նաև հավելեց, որ Ընտրական օրենսգրքի նախագծում հիմնականում տեղ են գտել այն մեխանիզմները, որոնք թույլ կտան կազմակերպել արդար և թափանցիկ ընտրություններ: Նրա խոսքով՝ 2017թ. խորհրդարանական ընտրությունները շատ կարևոր նշանակություն ունեն երկրի համար:
