Ազգային ժողովում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ԱԺ պաշտպանության, ազգային անվտանգության և ներքին գործերի մշտական հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Կորյուն Նահապետյանը, խոսելով երեկ նախագահի կողմից մի շարք բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաների աշխատանքից ազատելու մասին, նշեց, որ պաշտոնյաները թերացել են իրենց աշխատանքում:

«Պաշտպանության նախարարության պաշտոնանկ եղած բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաները քրեական պատասխանատվության կարող էին ենթարկվել, եթե կատարած լինեին Քրեական օրենսգրքով նախատեսված հանցագործություն. տվյալ դեպքում նման փաստեր չկան: Կարծում եմ` պաշտպանության նախարարությունում և զինված ուժերի գլխավոր շտաբում կատարվում են համապատասխան ուսումնասիրություններ և դրանց արդյունքում կկայացվեն որոշումներ, որոնց հետևանքով կարող են այլ ներկայացուցիչներ ենթարկվել պատասխանատվության»,- ասել է Նահապետյանը:

Այն դիտարկմանը, թե Սեյրան Օհանյանը օրեր առաջ ՀՀԿ խորհրդի նիստից առաջ ասել էր, թե ռազմական ղեկավարության շրջանակում որևէ պաշտոնանկություն չի լինելու, հանձնաժողովի նախագահը պատասխանեց. «Ուզում եմ մեկ անգամ ևս հիշեցնել, որ ՀՀ զինված ուժերի բարձրագույն հրամանատարական կազմին նշանակում և ազատում է հանրապետության նախագահը: Ես ասում եմ` ստեղծված իրավիճակում, բնականաբար, պետք է քննարկել ու որոշում կայացնել` այն պաշտոնատար անձինք, որոնք թերացել են, կարգապահական խախտումներ են թույլ տվել, որոշակի ծառայողական պարտականություններ անբավարար են կատարել, բնական է, նրանք պետք է ենթարկվեն պատասխանատվության»,- ասաց Կորյուն Նահապետյանը:

Դիտարկմանը, թե շատերը պնդում են, որ վերոնշյալ թերացումների պատճառով ունեցանք անդառնալի կորուստներ, Կորյուն Նահապետյանը պատասխանեց. «Հանրությունը պետք է հասկանա, որ սա պատերազմ է, իսկ պատերազմի ժամանակ լինում են նաև մարդկային կորուստներ»:
