90-ականների պատերազմում ադրբեջանցիները առաջ էին մղում տարբեր ազգերի վարձկանների, Ադրբեջանում ապրող ազգային փոքրամասնությունների՝ լեզգիներ, ավարներ եւ թալիշներ, եւ, շատ դեպքերում, «քաշում», մսաղացին տալիս նրանց: Նման բազմաթիվ պատմություններ ու վկայություններ կան…

Այսօր էլ Բաքուն հիմնականում առաջնագիծ է ուղարկում Ադրբեջանում ապրող այլազգիների, ըստ որոշ եղեկությունների, սպանվածների մեծ մասը հենց այլազգիների ներկայացուցիչներ են:

Լեզգիների, ավարների եւ թալիշների համայնքները, նրանց կազմակերպությունները դժգոհում են Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարության այս քայլերից, նրանք, բացի այն, որ ճնշվում են երրորդ սորտ համարվում ադրբեջանցիների կողմից, նաեւ չեն ուզում, որ իրենց զավակներ մասնակցեն ոչ իրենց պատերազմին. հայերի հետ պատերազմն այս ազգերն իրենցը չեն համարում:

Լեզգիներ, ավարներ եւ թալիշներ. կովկասյան այս ազգությունները կարող են լուրջ գլխացավանք դառնալ ադրբեջանցիների համար: Նրանք ազգային փոքրամասնություններ են Ադրբեջանում եւ ճնշվում են ազերիների կողմից, ենթարկվում հալածանքների, արհամարհանքի, չորրորդ սորտի մարդ են համարվում պետության մեջ, մի խոսքով՝ ստրկական վիճակում են ապրում իրենց հայրենիքում…

Այս ազգություններն ադրբեջանցիներին երբեւէ չեն համարել իրենց բարեկամ, մեկդարյա թշնամանք կա նրանց միջեւ, ժամանակ առ ժամանակ պայքարել են իրենց իրավունքների, ինքիշխանության համար, եւ էլի կպայքարեն, եթե ինչ-որ կայծ լինի…

Լեզգիները, ավարները եւ թալիշները մեր բնական դաշնակիցները կարող են լինել` ընդհանուր թշնամու դեմ պայքարում. Ադրբեջանը ներսից քայքայվելու եւ պառակտվելու բոլոր նախադրյալներն ունի…

ՏԵՂԵԿԱՆՔ. Համաձայն 1999թ. Ադրբեջանում անցկացված մարդահամարի տվյալների` թալիշների թիվը 76.800 է, սակայն կան նաեւ այլ տվյալներ, որոնք ժողովրդագրական բարձր ցուցանիշ ունեցող թալիշների իրական թիվը համարում են 200.000-500.000։ Լեզգիները Ադրբեջանի Հանրապետության տարածքի բնիկ ժողովուրդն են եւ թվով երկրի երկրորդ էթնիկ խումբը, Ադրբեջանում հաշվարկված է 220.000-250.000 լեզգի: Ըստ պաշտոնական տվյալների, ավարների թիվն Ադրբեջանում 70-80 հազար է: Իրականում այս թվերը կարող են ավելի մեծ լինել....
