Թուրքիան ԼՂ շփման գծում քառօրյա պատերազմին նախորդող շրջանից սկսած ակտիվացրել է Հարավային Կովկասի ուղղությամբ իր քաղաքականությունը և Ադրբեջանի հետ սերտ գործակցությունը, որ տեսանելի է դառնում նաև վերջին շրջանում երկու երկրների բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաների հաճախակի փոխադարձ այցելություններով:

Թուրքիան փորձում է նպաստել տարածաշրջանում լարվածության օջախների ստեղծմանը և պահպանմանը ու այդպիսի իրավիճակներն օգտագործել իր շահերին համապատասխան: Սրա մասին են ցույց տալիս նաև «Արաբական Գարնան» ալիքի ժամանակ Թուրքիայի դիրքորոշումը և Սիրիայի շուրջ զարգացումներին նրա մասնակացությունը:

Այս անգամ Թուրքիան փորձեց կատալիզատոր հանդիսանալ ԼՂ շփման գծում իրավիճակի սրման և ռազմական գործողությունների վերսկսման համար. Ադրբեջանի կողմից տապալված բլիցկրիգի պլանը չէր կարող գործի դրվել առանց Թուրքիայի աջակցությունը ստանալու:

Շփման գծում իրավիճակի լարվածության գործում թուրքական կողմի իրական հետաքրքրությունների մասին է վկայում նաև Էրդողանի հայտարարությունը, թե դիմակայությունն ավելի ուժեղ է դարձնում Ադրբեջանին ու Ալիևին, իսկ Ռուսաստանը Հայաստանին չի ցուցաբերում բաց և ամբողջական աջակցություն, քանի որ Ադրբեջանի հետ Ռուսաստանն ունի փոխշահավետ հարաբերություններ, ու հայերը խուճապի մեջ են:

Ինչպես երևում է Թուրքիան սադրում է իր «փոքր եղբորը» ռազմական ավանտյուրայի գնալու հարցում, սակայն հաշվի չի առնում, որ ԼՂ հակամարտության գոտում հակամարտության վերսկսումը պայթյունավտանգ է ոչ միայն ամբողջ տարածաշրջանի, այլև հենց Թուրքիայի համար, քանի որ նման իրավիճակը կարող է սկիզբ դնել Թուրքիայի մասնատմանը:
