Մենք սովորել ենք սպասել հաղթական մայիսին, ինչը սխալ է, շատ մեծ սխալ: Մենք պետք է ամեն ամիս հաղթական դարձնենք, հաղթական թե պատերազմում, թե սպորտում, թե տնտեսության մեջ, թե ամեն ինչում: Սխալ է ապրել միայն մեկ ամսվա սպասումով, անչափ սխալ:

Այս ապրիլը չնայած կորուստներով լի, բայց հաղթական էր: Մենք ապացուցեցինք, որ համախմբվել գիտենք, որ մեկս մյուսի ցավով ապրել գիտենք, որ մեր երկիրը ճանաչել և այն պաշտպանել գիտենք, որ մեր ցավի միջից վերակենդանալու և անգամ օտարին փրկած մարդկանց գնահատել գիտենք: Ապրիլը մեր կամքի ու գիտակցության հաղթանակի ամիսն էր մեր ցավի ու զոհի խարանի նկատմամբ:

Մենք պետք ա, հիմա ավելի քան երբևէ, համախմբվենք, դառնանք բռունցք, ու միասին կերտենք այն երկիրը, որն առանց ամոթի զգացման կարող ենք հանձնել մեր սերունդներին:
Եթե այսօր դա չանենք, վաղը ոչ միայն նոր սերնդի, այլ մեր աչքերի մեջ չենք կարողանալու նայել:
Ես, որպես Հայ, որպես ՀՀ քաղաքացի, երդվում եմ անել այն, ինչն առնվազն պետք է անեմ որպես Հայ և ՀՀ քաղաքացի:
