Հանրապետական կուսակցությունից ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի պաշտոնի հավակնորդ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հայտարարել Է, որ պետության ղեկավար ընտրվելու դեպքում ինքը կկարողանա «անհավատալի լավ հարաբերություններ» հաստատել մյուս երկրների հետ՝ պայմանով, որ Ամերիկային «կհարգեն»: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես» -ը, նա մայիսի 3-ի երեկոյան հայտարարել Է Նյու Յորքում՝ ելույթ ունենալով մի մեծ խումբ կողմնակիցների առջեւ:

«Մենք անհավատալի լավ հարաբերություններ կունենանք մյուս երկրների հետ, սակայն նրանք պետք Է արդարացի վերաբերվեն մեզ,-հայտարարել Է նա:-Նրանք պետք Է մեզ հարգեն»: Թրամփի խոսքով՝ միջազգային հարաբերությունները «երկկողմանի երթեւեկությամբ փողոց Է»:

Նա խոստացել Է ամրապնդել ԱՄՆ-ի զինված ուժերը, «դրանք դարձնել ավելի արդյունավետ ու հզոր», եւ հայտարարել Է «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորումը ոչնչացնելու անհրաժեշտության մասին: «Մենք պետք Է զբաղվենք այդ խմբավորմամբ եւ դա արագ անենք,-ընդգծել Է Թրամփը:-Մենք չպետք Է թույլ տանք նրան գործել»: «Մենք կվերադարձնենք Ամերիկայի վեհությունը: Դուք վերստին հպարտանալու եք մեր երկրով»,-հավելել Է նա:

Թրամփը ելույթ Է ունեցել այն բանից անմիջապես հետո, երբ հայտնի են դարձել Ինդիանայում ընտրությունների նախնական արդյունքները, որտեղ նա համոզիչ հաղթանակ Է տարել, իսկ նրա հիմնական մրցակիցը՝ Տեխասից սենատոր Թեդ Քրուզը, հայտարարել Է Սպիտակ տան համար պայքարից դուրս գալու մասին:

Ինչպես նշել Է CNN հեռուստաընկերությունը, Ինդիանայում Թրամփի հաղթանակը «փաստորեն նրան դարձնում Է Հանրապետական կուսակցությունից ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի թեկնածու»: «Նույնիսկ չհավաքելով ազգային համագումարի պատվիրակների 1237 ձայն, Թրամփն արդեն այժմ փաստացի դարձել Է պաշտոնական թեկնածու»,-նշել Է հեռուստաընկերությունը, հավելելով, որ հաղթանակ Է տարել մի գործիչ, ով նախկինում երբեք չի ձգտել  ընտրովի պաշտոն զբաղեցնել, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
