Հայրենական մեդիադաշտի կայքերից մեկի «գլխավոր խմբագիրը շանտաժի է ենթարկել հայ քաղաքական գործիչներից մեկին»։ Այսօր ցանցում նմանօրինակ վերնագրեր տեսնելիս չզարմանաք ու չմտածեք, թե նյութի հեղինակը վրիպել ու խառնել է «գլխավոր խմբագիր» և «քաղաքական գործիչ» բառակապակցությունների տեղերը։ Այո՛, հայ ընթերցողների աչքն ընդհանրապես սովոր է քաղաքական գործիչներից լրագրողների հասցեին հնչող վիրավորանքների և ճնշումների մասին պատմող նյութերի վերնագրեր կարդալ, բայց սրա մասին չէ, որ պատրաստվում եմ խոսել։ 
Դեռ երեկ նշվում էր մամուլի ազատության օրը, և մեդիափորձագետներն ու լրագրողները քննարկում էին դաշտում գոյություն ունեցող խնդիրներն ու դրանց լուծման ճանապարհները։ Ընդհանրապես մամուլի ազատության և դրա առջև ծառացած խնդիրների մասին հանրային քննարկումները հիմնականում միակողմանի են, որտեղ շեշտը դրվում է լրագրողների իրավունքների և խոսքի ազատության պաշտպանության վրա։ Սակայն, քանի որ լրատվամիջոցները համարվում են կապող օղակ պետության և հասարակության միջև, ուրեմն լրագրողների պատասխանատվությունը հասարակության հանդեպ նույնքան մեծ է, որքան և պետությանը։ Եթե դիտարկենք հայկական մեդիադաշտը, ապա ակնհայտ կդառնա, որ մասնագիտական այդ պատասխանատվությունը ոչ բոլոր լրատվամիջոցներն ու մասնագետներն են կիսում։ Իսկ վերջին դեպքը ասվածի վառ ապացույցն է։ 
Ընթերցողների նկատմամբ պատասխանատվության բացակայությունը մի կողմից, մյուս կողմից լրագրողի գործառույթների և առաքելության մասին սխալ պատկերացումները հանգեցնում են նման արատավոր պրակտիկայի ձևավորմանը, ինչը ստվերում է ԶԼՄ-ների դերը քաղաքացիական հասարակության կայացման և իշխանության որոշումների վրա ազեցություն ունենալու և ինչ-որ առումով նաև զսպելու գործում։ 
ԱԺ պատգամավորին շանտաժի ենթարկելու դեպքը, սակայն, արտահայտում է ոչ միայն ընթերցողների, այլ նաև սեփական գործընկերների նկատմամբ անպատասխանատու վերաբերմունքը, քանի որ սոցիալական և հանրային բնույթ կրող մասնագիտություններով զբաղվողները հավասարապես պատասխանատվություն են կրում ինչպես սեփական գործունեության, այնպես էլ այն դաշտի կամ կառույցի համար, որի ներկայացուցիչն են։ Դե հիմա պատկերացրեք։ Լրագրողեների և քաղաքական գործիչների ստվերային համագործակցության և պատվերով գրելու մասին մեզանում բազմիցս են խոսակցություններ պտտվել և տարբեր հարթակներում հնչել մեղադրանքներ։ Իսկ այս միջադեպը գալիս է հաստատելու հայ լրագրողների մի մասին վերագրովող այս բնութագիրը, ինչն իր հերթին հասարակության շրջանում որոշակի բացասական ընկալումներ է ձևավորոմ լրագրողի կերպարի և հեղինակության մասին։ 
Այսինքն նման դեպքերում ընթերցողին դժվար է վստահել և հավատալ իրենց՝ հանուն անարդարության վերացման քաղաքական գործիչների դեմ կռիվ տվող «մարտիկներ» համարող որոշ լրագրողների անկեղծ մղումներին։ Դե իհարկե, ով կհավատա քաղաքական գործիչների խարդախությունների, ոչ ադեկվատ պահվածքի մասին գրող և քննադատող, բայց միևնույն կենսաձևը վարող լրագրողներին, որոնք ոչ միայն չեն հարգում սեփական ընթերցողին, այլ նաև գործընկերներին։
