Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը մեկնաբանել է իշխող «Արդարություն և զարգացում» կուսակցության ղեկավարի և վարչապետի պաշտոնից Ահմեդ Դավութօղլուի հեռանալու մասին որոշումը: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասի ն տեղեկացնում է թուրքական «Հուրիեթ» պարբերականը: «Դա վարչապետի որոշումն է: Բարին էլ դա է»,- ասել է նա:

Ինքը` Դավութօղլուն, խոսելով կուսակցության ղեկավարի պաշտոնից հեռանալու մասին, ասել է. «Կյանքը մարդուն շատ բան է սովորեցնում: Կան սկզբունքներ, որոնցից չեմ կարող հրաժարվել: Պաշտոններից և ոչ մեկը ես չեմ խնդրել: Երևբէ դրանց համար քարոզչություն չեմ արել կամ այդ հարցով չեմ դիմել: Ամենաուժեղ մարդը նա է, ով խաղաղ է ինքն իր հետ: Երբեք չեմ պաշտպանել որևէ բան, որին չեմ հավատացել: Հետքայլ չեմ արել նրանից, ինչին հավատացել եմ»:

Թուրքիայի վարչապետ Ահմեդ Դավութօղլուն հայտարարել է, որ հեռանում է իշխող «Արդարություն և զարգացում» կուսակցության (ԱԶԿ)ղեկավարի պաշտոնից: Այս մասին Դավութօղլուն հայտնել է ԱԶԿ-ի կենտրոնական վարչական խորհրդի նիստի ավարտին հրավիրած մամուլիասուլիսի ժամանակ: Դավութօղլուն հայտարարել է նաև, որ մայիսի 22-ին կայանալիք կուսակցության արտահերթ համագումարում չիներկայացնելու իր թեկնածությունը և իր հետագա գործունեությունը շարունակելու է միայն որպես Քոնյայից ընտրված պատգամավոր:

Կուսակցության ղեկավարությունից հեռանալով` Դավութօղլուն հեռանում է նաև երկրի վարչապետի պաշտոնից, քանի որ Թուրքիայում հենցիշխող կուսակցության ղեկավարն է զբաղեցնում երկրի վարչապետի պաշտոնը:

Էրդողան-Դավութօղլու ճգնաժամը գագաթնակետին է հասել Եվրամիությանը Թուրքիայի անդամակցության, Մերձավոր Արևելքի հետ կապվածխնդիրներում, սիրիացի փախստականների հետ կապված ԵՄ հետ պայմանավորվածություններում անհամաձայնությունների պատճառով:
