Բուլղարիայում ՀՀ դեսպան Արմեն Սարգսյանն Մայիսի 10-ին իր հավատարմագիրն է հանձնել ԲՀ Նախագահ Ռոսեն Պլևնելիևին:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության եւ հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից,  հանդիսավոր արարողությունից հետո Բուլղարիայի Նախագահի և դեսպան Սարգսյանի միջև տեղի է ունեցել առանձնազրույց, որի ընթացքում Նախագահ Պլևնելիևը կարևորել է երկու երկրների միջև պատմականորեն գոյություն ունեցող բարեկամական հարաբերությունների հետագա զարգացումը: Միաժամանակ նա նշել է , որ երկու կողմերն էլ առևտրատնտեսական ոլորտում փոխգործակցությունը խորացնելու դեռևս մեծ ներում ունեն: Բուլղարիայի Նախագահը հույս է հայտնել, որ Հայաստանի նորանշանակ դեսպանն իր ուժերն ու փորձը կծառայեցնի երկու երկրների հարաբերություններն էլ ավելի զարգացնելու ու լայնացնելու գործին:

Հաղորդագրության մեջ նշված է. «Դեսպան Սարգսյանը, շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ջերմ ընդունելության համար, խոստացել է գործադրել հնարավոր բոլոր ջանքերը հայ-բուլղարական հարաբերությունների նոր թափ հաղորդելու համար:

Քննարկվեցին առաջիկայում բարձր մակարդակի երկկողմ այցեր կազմակերպելու հեռանկարները:

ՀՀ դեսպանը Բուլղարիայի Նախագահին համառոտ ներկայացրեց ՀՀ արտաքին քաղաքականության հիմնական ուղղությունները, անդրադարձավ ԼՂ հիմնահարցի կարգավորմանը և Հայաստան-Թուրքիա հարաբերություններին առնչվող վերջին զարգացումներին:

Հանդիպման ավարտին Նախագահ Պլևնելիևը հաջողություն մաղթեց նորանշանակ դեսպանին` խոստանալով իր աշխատակազմի և ԲՀ ԱԳՆ ամենայն աջակցությունը նրա առաքելության ընթացքում»:
