«Եվրանյուզ»-ը մայիսի 17-ին հրապարակել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության կարգավորման հարցում Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի դիրքորոշումները՝ Բրյուսելում գործող և երկու երկրների շահերը ներկայացնող կազմակերպությունների մեկնաբանությամբ: 

«Հայաստանի Եվրոպացի Բարեկամներ» (EuFoA) հասարակական կազմակերպության ղեկավար Էդուարդո Լորենցո Օչոան խոսել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի անկախության ճանաչման անխուսափելիության դիրքերից և ընդգծել, որ անկախության ճանաչումը նախ և առաջ կոչված է երաշխավորելու Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ժողովրդի անվտանգությունը:

«1991թ. դեկտեմբերի 10-ին Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հանրապետությունում անցկացված հանրաքվեին մասնակցեց բնակչության 82.2%-ը և անկախության համար քվեարկեց  մասնակիցների 99%-ը: Ընդ որում, ԼՂՀ-ն օգտագործեց ինքնորոշման ճիշտ նույն իրավական մեխանիզմները, որով անկախացան Ադրբեջանն ու ԽՍՀ այլ հանրապետությունները»,-  ինչպես տեղեկացրին «Հայաստանի Եվրոպացի Բարեկամներ» (EuFoA) հասարակական կազմակերպությունից, ասել է Էդուարդո Լորենցո Օչոան, հավելելով, որ Ադրբեջանի էլիտայի գործողությունները ոչ այլ ինչ են, քան պատմությունը իրենց օգտին խմբագրելու ապարդյուն փորձեր:

Նա ընդգծել է, որ ավելի քան 20 տարի է անցել ԼՂՀ-ի, Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի միջև հրադադարի պահպանման համաձայնության հաստատումից, սակայն Ադրբեջանի շարունակական հարձակումների արդյունքում հարյուրավոր կյանքեր են ընդհատվում երկու կողմերում: Նա նաև հավելել է, որ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ժողովուրդը պարզապես ցանկանում է օգտվել ինքնորոշման իր իրավունքից՝ խաղաղ պայմաններում ապրելու համար, և միանշանակ արժանի է անկախության ճանաչման:

«ԼՂՀ-ն եվրոպական տարածաշրջանի ամենաանվտանգ և կայուն երկրներից է: Չնայած հակամարտության պատճառով Ղարաբաղին պարտադրված պայմաններին, այս ժողովուրդը կարողացել է հաջողել պետականության կառուցման և զարգացման հարցում: ԼՂՀ-ն՝ որպես պետություն, ամբողջությամբ համապատասխանում է Մոնտեվիդեոյի 1933թ. կոնվենցիայի՝ «Պետությունների իրավունքներն ու պարտականությունները» սահմանող պահանջներին, ինչպիսիք են՝ տարածքը, բնակչությունը, կառավարությունը և իրավական հարաբերություններ հաստատելու կարողությունը»,-ասել է Էդուարդո Լորենցո Օչոան:
