ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը մայիսի 17-ին հանդիպել է Գերմանիայի Դաշնային Հանրապետության Բունդեսթագի պատգամավոր Ուլլա Ելպքեի եւ Համբուրգի խորհրդարանի պատգամավորներ Մարտին Դոլցերի ու Հասան Բուրգուջօղլուի հետ:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԱԺ հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, ողջունելով գերմանացի խորհրդարանականներին Ազգային ժողովում՝ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը բարձր է գնահատել Հայաստանի եւ Գերմանիայի միջեւ ձեւավորված հարաբերությունները, ինչպես նաեւ Գերմանիայի աջակցությունը մեր երկրին: Էդուարդ Շարմազանովն իր գոհունակությունն է հայտնել պատվիրակության՝ Արցախ կատարելիք առաջիկա այցի կապակցությամբ եւ նշել, որ որպես այս տարի ԵԱՀԿ-ում նախագահող երկրի ներկայացուցիչներ՝ նրանք կարող են ամեն ինչ տեսնել իրենց աչքով:

Անդրադառնալով ապրիլի սկզբում ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական սահմանին կատարված իրադարձություններին եւ ծանոթացնելով հյուրերին այդ օրերի վայրագությունները փաստող նյութերին՝ ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահը նշել է. «Տեղյակ եք, որ այդ օրերին ադրբեջանական ագրեսիային զոհ են գնացել ոչ միայն զինվորականներ, այլեւ խաղաղ բնակիչներ: Կարծում եմ՝ բոլորս պիտի սա դատապարտենք: Արցախի ժողովուրդն ինքնորոշվել է, եւ միջազգային հանրությունը վաղ թե ուշ ճանաչելու է Արցախի ժողովրդի ինքնորոշման իրավունքը: Մեր նպատակն է խաղաղ ճանապարհով հասնել Արցախի անկախության միջազգային ճանաչմանը»:

Անդրադառնալով հունիսի 2-ին Գերմանիայի Բունդեսթագում Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչմանն ուղղված բանաձեւի քննարկմանը՝ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը փաստել է, որ միայն ճանաչելով եւ կանխարգելելով է հնարավոր փակել նոր ցեղասպանությունների իրագործման ճանապարհը:

Բունդեսթագի պատգամավոր Ուլլա Ելպքեն իր խոսքում նշել է, որ իր կուսակցությունը պայքարում է ոչ միայն Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը դատապարտող բանաձեւի ընդունման, այլեւ Գերմանիայի՝ այդ հարցում պատասխանատվության վերհանման համար: Նա նշել է, որ իրենք աջակցում են ԼՂ հակամարտության խաղաղ ճանապարհով լուծմանը:
