Անկարայում ԱՄՆ դեսպանատունը զգուշացրել է իր քաղաքացիներին միջազգային և տեղական ահաբեկչական խմբերի կողմից Թուրքիայում մայիսի 19-ին իրականացվող հնարավոր ահաբեկչության մասին: 
«ԱՄՆ դեսպանությունը տեղյակ է պահում իր քաղաքացիներին, որ Թուրքիայում հինգշաբթի օրը, մայիսի 19-ին, երիտասարդության և սպորտի օրվա կապակցությամբ անցկացվող Աթաթուրքի հուշամրցաշարում հնարավոր է լինի ահաբեկչություն: ԱՄՆ քաղաքացի զբոսաշրջիկներին զգուշացվում է զերծ մնալ և գտնվել տվյալ հուշամրցաշարի շրջանակներում իրականացվող միջոցառումներին և չգտվել մարդաշատ վայրերում: ԱՄՆ դեսպանատունը պաշտոնապես նաև զգուշացրել է Թուրքիայի համապատասխան պատասխանատու մարմիններին երկրում, մասնավորապես Անկարայում սպասվող ահաբեկչության մասին », - ասվում է դեսպանատան հայտարարության մեջ:
ԱՄՆ դեսպանատունը նաև կոչ է արել իր քաղաքացիներին մինչև մայիսի 22-ը՝ իշխող Արդարություն և զարգացում կուսակցության (AKP) կայանալիք արտահերթ համագումարը, զերծ մնալ Թուրքիա այցելելուց, քանի որ տեղական և միջազգային ահաբեկչական խմբավորումների կողմից հնարավոր է երկրի տարբեր հատվածներում իրականացվի ահաբեկչություն:
ԱՄՆ դեսպանատան տարածած այս հայտարարությունը դժգոհութնուն է առաջացրել պաշտոնական Անկարայի մոտ, ինչի համար դեսպանատունը պարզաբանել է իր հայտարարությունը:
«Մենք՝ ԱՄՆ դեսպանությունը, լրջորեն անհանգստացած ենք ու պատասխանատվություն ենք կրում ԱՄՆ քաղաքացիների կյանքի համար: Մենք ունենք տեղեկություններ, որ հայտարարության մեջ նշված միջոցառումների ժամանակ կարող են լինել ահաբեկչություններ, որոնք պոտենցիալ վտանգ կարող են ներկայացնել քաղաքացիների կյանքի ու առողջության համար: Քանի որ թուրքական ԶԼՄ-ներին մայիսի 17-ին տրամադրված մեր տեղեկեությունը չհայտարարվեց, ապա ստիպված մենք ենք տարածել հայտարարությունը մեր քաղաքացիների համար », - ասել է ԱՄՆ դեսպանատան մամլո պատասխանատուն:
