Իրաքյան բանակը և սուննի աշխարհազորայինների ջոկատները` էլիտար կազմավորումների աջակցությամբ, «ամբողջությամբ վերահսկում են Էլ-Ֆալուջա քաղաքի շրջակայքը (Բաղդադից 50 կմ հեռավորությամբ): ТАСС գործակալության փոխանցմամբ` այս մասին հաղորդել է Բաղդադում օպերատիվ շտաբի հրամանատար Աբդել Ամիր աշ-Շիմարին:

Նրա խոսքով` քաղաքն ամբողջական շրջափակման մեջ վերցնել հաջողվել է հյուսիսային և արևելյան արվարձանները գրավելուց հետո: «Զորքերն այժմ գտնվում են քաղաքի կենտրոնական թաղամասերից 2-3 կմ հեռավորությամբ: «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորման գրոհայինները կուրուստներ են կրել և նահանջել», - հայտնել է գեներալը:

«Ալ-Մայադին» հեռուստաալիքի տվյալներով` Բաղդադից Էլ-Ֆալուջա են ուղարկվել «արագ արձագանքման էլիտար ուժերի» 5000 զինյալներ, որոնք փոխարինել են շիաների միավորումներին: Այս քայլն արվել է քաղաքի ազատագրման գործողությունների ժամանակ սուննիների և շիաների միջև հնարավոր կրոնական բախումներից խուսափելու նպատակով:
