 Բունդեսթագում «Օսմանյան կայսրությունում 101 տարի առաջ հայերի և մյուս քրիստոնյա փոքրամասնությունների ցեղասպանության և հիշատակի մասին» բանաձևի նախագծի քննարկումները նախատեսվում է սկսել հունիսի 2-ին՝ տեղի ժամանակով 11:10-ից: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ այդ մասին հաղորդում է Բունդեսթագի պաշտոնական կայքը: Քննարկումները կհեռարձակվեն Գերմանիայի խորհրդարանի ինտերնետ հեռուստատեսությամբ՝ www.bundestag.de կայքի միջոցով:

Չնայած թուրքական կողմի ճնշումներին՝ «Քրիստոնեադեմոկրատական միություն/Քրիստոնեասոցիալական միություն» (CDU/CSU) և Սոցիալ-դեմոկրատական կուսակցության (SPD) խորհրդարանական խմբակցությունների համատեղ նախաձեռնությամբ Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին բանաձևի նախագիծը Բունդեսթագի օրակարգում է ընդգրկվել հստակ` «ցեղասպանություն» եզրույթով: Նախագծի ընդունմանը կողմ են ինչպես կոալիցիոն, այնպես էլ ընդդիմադիր խմբակցություններ:

Գերմանիայի խորհրդարանը դեռևս 2005 թվականին ընդունել է 1915 թվականին Օսմանյան կայսրությունում հայերի զանգվածային բնաջնջման, էթնիկ զտումների և աքսորի մասինբանաձև, որում, սակայն, նշված չի եղել «ցեղասպանություն» եզրույթը: Գերմանիայի դիրքորոշման մեջ շրջադարձ տեղի ունեցավ 2015թ. ապրիլի 20-ին` Գերմանիայի Դաշնության արտաքին գործերի նախարար Ֆրանկ-Վալտեր Շտայնմայերի և կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելի խոսնակ Շտեֆան Զայբերթի հայտարարություններից հետո: Իսկ Գերմանիայի Դաշնության Նախագահ Յոահիմ Գաուկն ապրիլի 23-ին Բեռլինի Մայր տաճարում կայացած Հայոց ցեղասպանության հիշատակի արարողությանն իր ելույթում հայերի կոտորածները «ցեղասպանություն» է որակել: 2015 թվականի ապրիլի 24-ին Բունդեսթագում քննարկման դրվեց 1915 թվականին Օսմանյան կայսրությունում հայերի Ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչող նոր բանաձև: Նիստը բացեց Բունդեսթագի նախագահ Նորբերթ Լամերթը, ով 1915 թվականի Օսմանյան կայսրությունում տեղի ունեցած պատմական դեպքերն անվանեց ցեղասպանություն: Նիստի ընթացքում տարբեր կուսակցական խմբակցությունների ղեկավարներ ևս հայանպաստ հայտարարություններ արեցին՝ ընդունելով կատարվածը:

Բունդեսթագում Հայոց ցեղասպանության բանաձևի ընդունման շուրջ 2016 թվականի փետրվարի 25-ին ծավալված բուռն քննարկումները քվեարկության չհանգեցրին:
